North Korea acquired 12 Foxtrot class and Golf-II class missile submarines as scrap in 1993. Some analysts suggest that these have either been refurbished with the help of Russian experts or their launch tubes have been reverse-engineered and externally fitted to regular submarines or cargo ships. In both cases, the KPA would be in firing range of islands the central Pacific Ocean and the Western coast of North America.

The Korean People's Navy was established on June 5, 1946. The navy strength during the 1990s was about 40,000 to 60,000; current strength (2008) is at about 46,000. There are some 708 vessels including 3 frigates and 70 submarines: approximately 20 Romeo class submarines (1,800 tons), 40 Sang-O class submarines (300 tons) and 10 midget submarines including the Yono class submarine (130 tons).

Submarine launched cruise missiles with conventional warheads would be a formidable weapon against a nuke plant 25 miles off the coast...

Of course, the six nuclear plants of the Yeonggwang Nuclear Power facility in the Southeast section of the country would capture the prevailing winds.
Rake all the territory east of the facility with radioactivity...

-Enough with the anti-government anti-nuclear nuttiness hippy!
Besides, radioactivity is healthy, Ann Coulter and other nuclear experts have said so, so stop being so negative.

TEHRAN, Iran (AP)- Iranian media say the military has test-fired several short-range missiles, including the type Palestinian militant Hamas group used to attack Tel Aviv last November.
Thursday's report by the semi-official Fars news agency says the missiles were tested during an army exercise in central Iran. It says the missiles fired were Nazeat-10 and Fajr-5.
During weeks of fighting in November, Gaza's Hamas rulers fired Iranian-made Fajr-5 rockets that came close to Israel's heartland, including the cities of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem for the first time.
Later, Iran admitted supplying Hamas with the technology to produce Fajr-5. The missile has a range of 75 kilometers, or 45 miles. The range of the Nazeat-10 missiles is about 100 kilometers, or 62 miles.
Iran regularly holds maneuver to test and promote its military power.

South Korea must be rattled?
CNN)-- Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel is expected to announce Friday that the Pentagon will enhance the nation's ability to defend itself from any nuclear attack by North Korea, a U.S. defense official told CNN.
Hagel will announce that the United States will deploy up to 14 additional ground-based missile interceptors, according to the official.
It would be a lot easier taking out larger nuke facility in N Korea and just as much attention....if you hit us with a nuke weapon we would annihilate you! Every man, women and child. Not so much if you took out a N Korea nuke facility...

Right, this is building a set of nuclear plants on a huge earthquake and tsunami fault...North Korea could fracture and a war could overwhelm the defenses of a plant.
Was these plants designed for its political environment...
It this a tsunami of a different kind?

Do they have a army of suicide bombers in the wings somewhere...a bombing campaign in the cities...
Does the north know how the modern world works...could they play the heart strings of the paparazzi cable news networks. Come on, that would drive up ratings.
Do they know how to play asymmetric warfare.
A Iran/ North Korea axis...
What would the world and us internally think about a axis war...can we afford it.

Should we steal ourselves in case North Korea does a false flag or black flag operation...could outside entities other than North Korea and the USA do a false flag operation in order to kick off a war to weaken the bunch of us?
Somebody could do a false flag operation in North or South Korea...
Does our drone operation place the world at the edge of a cliff...blame the US no matter who did it?
