It appears as though the game here is to simply call anyone with you folks disagree a liar. That's fine. Not terribly productive, however.

Regarding my compensation; I am paid but a fraction of the money being spent by Entergy and its supporters in Vermont.

This all started with me commenting on the NRC's concern about cyber attacks at VY, but lack of concern about moving spent fuel from the fuel pool when the plant closes in 2012. The NRC does not mandate that the spent fuel be removed from the pool. The pool is 7 stories in the air and vulnerable to a terrorist attack.

That's all true. If you don't agree. Fine with me.

So now it's a "lack of concern" because they don't mandate all the fuel be removed from the pool because you think it's a concern.

Just admit it's a sham. If VY moved it from the pool, you would complain about the casks, if VY tried to move it to Yucca Mtn, you would complain about transporting it. You are a broken record.

Bob, whatever they are are paying you, it's too much.

Bob,

The NRC has taken steps to minimize the potential risks from a terrorist attack on SFP's. Each licensee will be looked at on an individual basis to determine the exact risks that are associated with it. VY specifically has done some things to help minimize the risks as well from design basis attacks.

So what you originally said and has been said, IE. "that all bwr's have the same potential risks" is not entirely correct.

In your original post you said nothing about the NRC's concern with moving the spent fuel upon plant closure.

Would it help you if I said that the top of the fuel pool is 7 stories up but the bottom is only 3 stories up ?

When we look at ways to minimize the potential of a terrorist attack on spent fuel pools, lets look outside the box. Feasibility and price comes up on this subject. whos job is it to ensure the safety of the plant from a terrorist? Should this be on the utility or on a federal level? Are we doing everything we can to prevent planes from becoming hijacked?

CAN speaks for us aka 'We the People', you do not!

*WE* care very much about the spent fuel. when VY shuttered on schedule the production will cease.

Since purchasing fuel must be decided in April 2011, this will not happen.

What you or any pronuclear activist thinks or wants is not a concern. You are not looking out for VT interests but seem to think VT owes you a living. Hate to burst that big bubble or bruise your swelled head but you are sadly mistaken.

It's money well spent for a lobbyist who works for the public & citizens. No onee who recieves that pay is in it for the money dummy.

A big laugh since Entergy has its very own Ministry of Propaganda, a mere nuclear front, whose tentacles reach throughout the state w/in their so-called 'diverse group of business & labor'.

Since this includes their paid lobbyists Brad Ferland & Guy Page who also head VTEP, I'd say Entergy is well represented. Despite this, VT has overwhelmingly rejected VY as well as forced occupation of Entergy. Since Entergy & IBEW are the centerpiece of the VTEP website, I think we can figure out whose interests they're looking out for & it is not VT.
http://www.vtep.org
http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php...
http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php...

And, since VTEP member IBEW represents plant employees this is a direct connection to VTEP as well. This is an Entergy-sponsored propaganda machine & the purpose of flooding these threads is very clear.

We happen to need those who speak only for us. So, you expect that lobbyists against nuclear power, VY & Entergy shouldn't be paid? Seriously?

Pronuclear activists who storm these threads en masse from nationwide locations starting flame wars & dogpiles bc none of you know how to tell the truth are worthless except to ea other.

Wake the hell up up plz. News flash! World nor VT revolves around you! We do not give a shite about nuke industry revival, renaissance, bottom line, your paychecks, union wages & career plans.

We care about our state, our future, our bottom line, our energy future, our homes & families most importantly not leaving the mess of VY for them to deal with or potential for catastrophic occurance which would leave region uninhabitable.

You have your pick of 102 reactors. Good riddance, lots of luck to you.(Watch that door-springs are loose & slams pretty hard).

By looking at the comments so far, our level of intelligence and our ability of keeping a straight and unbiased communication among ourselves apperas to be in limbo. The subject is very clear and open"NRC asks for cyber threat info from VY". It does not ask any of the subjects that we are discussing for nothing. It appears that one stupid(no nuke) throws a pebble into ocean and all the smart guys on earth are trying to locate it. You have to be delicate while educating the ignorance. You cannot scream at them as"IDIOTS" openly. That is why we the advocates of such an amazing clean and safe technology are always in defense instead of showing the fumes coming out of the chimneys that burns foreign oil.

Analogy's are lame & clod-like. Pebbles don't quite cut it.'Two Wild & Crazy Guys' comes to mind.

And you are not a moderator. If you do not like the format you are free to start your own blog where you can control the comments. It's free.

You are also free to dwell in an echochamber absent of dissent where everyone agrees if you cannot accept those who do not share your worldview or priorities.

If you are going to take it upon yourself to go from thread to thread knucklerapping & attempting to control the conversation w/your petulent digs you will be mighty busy.

'Unbiased'? As a regular contributor to nuclear & other forums, stance & opinions are well known & sheer. Merely another pronuclear activist & apologist for the industry descending on local news forums from across the nation like flying m o n k e y s. Yawn.

VT has become a happening place for you folks w/your dogpiles & flamewars.

'Level of intelligence'? I have not seen any comments by you that are noteworthy & level of reasoning is clumsy.

Not actually 'in defense of amazingly clean & safe technology', but distorted inaccurate pseudoscience from industry sponsored sources.

Shouldn't scream 'idiots' openly bc it is not fact based however lack of facts never stopped any of you.

And your comment re 'fumes from foriegn oil coming out of chimneys' particularly foolish since there are few w/electric heat in cold climates, I burn wood & don't care if you or anyone finds it acceptable.

If you drive or ride in a vehicle that uses gas or oil, this makes you a hypocrite.

We utilize the resources we have, as does everyone else on the planet, which makes the full-of-yourselves arrogant rants a big laugh.

Everyone who chooses to is using emerging technology as it becomes available & need not march to the drumbeat of the nuclear industry.

Wow! I did not know how strong I was Mr. northstardust, I am sorry if I offended you.I just wonder, are you using donkeys for transportation up in VT? You must have a personal generator to reach the net and us. What do you burn in your generator? let me guess, cow dungs? That stuff must smell bad isn't it? So, your breakfast must be two egg baked in the wood burner ha?

Happy holidays!
Wake up and smell the coffee friend. The point is the resulting damage should any one of the dams be compromised and flood the valleys. It would be considerable more feasible to compromise a dam that is not being monitored/guarded than to compromise a nuclear power plant. I believe the term used is a ‘soft target’. As a nation, we should alert to such threats..

Comments clumsy & clod-like. Learn the language plz.

Strong? You mean a strong fly that just got swatted?

No donkeys dummy. If you criticize foriegn oil, you are a hypocrite if you use a vehicle w/a gas engine.

Googling your activity it's clear you are simply another pronuclear e-thug from around the country here to flood these threads & shout down those who do not agree w/you.

No need for generators either. When VY shuttered we will have all the renewable power we need from what we already have had all along plus the renewables state elec utilities have signed for & all the H-Q we want or need @ a price much lower than the joke of a PPA Entergy conjured up.

Face it, VT does not need Entergy or VY.

Keep shoveling your shite against the tide. It's great cardio.
