sure there is such thing as a perfect life, its being breastfed by chester at the country club.as for this site, finally people can speak up for themselves without being persecuted, even if its for stealing 80 cents worth of quarters, and yes it did happen right here in quanah, summer of 87or88.its in the paper if you want proof.what was done to this hardened criminal,he was told if he left town it would go away.if you can find that prosecution in your county history lawbooks,SMOKE IT!!!!!!

seriously, 1987??? lol @ defending my own.

i think "what ever" might be on topic now. you said you wished it was some of my family members it had happened to. are you referring to the cemetary vandalism? the whole reason for this particular forum...if so, what makes you think it didn't happen to my family. i assure you i am just as disgusted and hurt as you. i wish like hell i had some information as to the people who did this.
if you are not referring to said topic, i'm just laughing.

off topic but seriously funny.not about his going to jail but being arrested for stealing 80 cents worth of quarters.it sounds almost perposterous but this is quanah.by the way,who was the sheriff then.

Well, after several phone calls from people telling me to look at this forum I gave up and decided to see what the uproar was about.
As most of you on here know I am the chief deputy with the Sheriff's Department in Quanah and this case is one of mine so I will try to put some of the rumors to bed.
First I will say in 21 years in law enforcement this was one of the most cold hearted cases I have worked. I see nothing to gain by trashing a cemetery and we can't replace some of the older historical stones.
This case is far from closed and as you might suspect some aspects of the case were kept quiet so as not to compromise the investigation. We did collect several items from the scene that were sent to the very backloged DPS DNA lab for processing and we have not gotten the results back. I hope the results will solve the case.
several names were thrown around early in the case and all leads were followed-up. One of the names we were given and several people insisted was the guilty party was actually in jail on the night of the offense.
the reward from donations to crime stoppers has grown and I am very suprised someone has not turned the person(s) in for the reward money.
I am not going to get in a hurry with this case because when you hurry mistakes get made. I appreciate everyones concern with case and assure you it is an open case that I hope to bring a close to very soon.

what will dna do unless the criminal had served time in prison, otherwise you have nothing to compare it with.it is said a few kids are the ones who done this.how will you go about obtaining their dna, supeona or say pretty please.what about the parent that said christopher was home that night, how will you get his?wont all those mythical dna test cost alot of money.are yall willing to spend all that money to end up possibley having to arrest the child of one of yalls biggest supporters.

What ever happened to community involvement, where is the community watches and neighbor hood patrols? We the people can take back our community if we want to, and we don't have to do it through elected offices. We can do it by being active in the safe keeping of our neighbor hoods and teaching our kids right from wrong and knowing what is going on in their lives, and knowing what they are doing and where they are. We can do what is right for our community by being more active and taking pride in our town instead of trashing it on some blog. If you have a positive idea that will better our town lets hear that instead of trashing it. How about attending a city counsil meeting or a county commisioner court to make your voice heard about the problems occuring in our town. WE can make Quanah a great town, if WE take it back from the criminals who are causing the problems and do what is right for us and our kids. I challenge the town to start a neighborhood watch again w/ active members and participants doing active patrols keeping our town safe and free of problems like we want.

A friend of mine from Qhanah told me to check this out. Funny thing to me is that I hear all of these citizens bitching and whining about the police, but I don't hear anyone volunteering to run for sheriff. Until you are ready to do more than just bitch and complain shut the hell up. Everyone needs to stop being part of the problem and start being part of the solution. And I know what is going to be said, "You're not even from here so mind your own business." And to that I say, no I am not from their, but I do have family and close friends who do. I do care about their welfare and am glad that there are men willing to risk their life to protect them and I believe someone should protect them.
