Vernon councilman having second thoughts about raises
With petitioners planning to submit enough signatures today calling for a township-wide referendum, one councilman said he is considering making a motion later this week to rescind the disputed 2012 salary ordinance.

Public salaries should be the sole business of the tax payer and not the public sector itself...that's far to self satisfying at every level of government, and often not in the best internest of the tax payers...this fleecing of the tax payer by the public sector must end...suburban police are paid far too much, as are many public jobs...time for a tax payer revolt.
