The solution is simple. DON'T PAY THE FEE. Send back a note that says GFY! DONT PAY YOUR TAXES! Tell the VTWP tax collector to GFY! Oh you want to put lien on my condo, go for it, ITS ALREADY >WORTHLESS<. I've been trying to sell that unit for years, do you think anyone will want to buy in GGV now?

Go ahead, put a lien on the unit. Put a Tax lien on the unit too while your at it. Comet can put a lien on the unit for the mx fees too. The mortgage company can have it. At the end of the day there wont be two nickels to rub together for any of them.

People, there was a time when individuals became fed up with how they were treated and they stood up and liberated themselves from tyrancy. We have come full circle. If you send the VTMUA, the VT Tax Collector, or Comet management another dime you are a sucker, and you dont have any right to complain. Its time to fight back, hit them where it counts, in the wallet. Its the only way to get anything done. I am envisioning a lot of boarded up units in GGV.

I hope people take your advice, anything to get rid of the lowlifes that bring GGV down. The meeting was an embarassment all round, the ignorance and lack of manners shown was appalling but based on what I live with everyday not really surprising.

FYI, when the units are boarded up, you'll get a whole new level of low-lifes, Squatters and drug addicts.

Whats bringing GGV down is the Board, the Management Co, The Town.

My expenses for my 1BR Studio

$3120 in annually mx fees
$3000 in annual taxes
$840 in annual sewer
$500 insurance
Stuff usually breaks/needs repair/ and i'm averaging another $1000 annually in maintenence.

Fair rent value on my unit is about $700/mt ($8400)

$8400 income over $8460 in expenses (note I did not take into effect mortgage or cost of capital to purchase the unit) is a net loss. The units are un-rentable. Owners are just burning cash.

Add a little here and there and pleading poverty is hardly endearing. The recession hit everybody. Nor is acccusing others of lying (or being corrupt) when the shoe fits you real well. Unless you were unfortunate enough to buy around 2008 likihood is you are still well ahead.

"Add a little here and there?" Are the mx fees >NOT< $3120 are the taxes >NOT< $3000?($2987 to be exact) Is the new sewer tax >NOT< $840? Thats $6947 annually in Mx and taxes, more than my 3BR home in Essex county. Are you even in touch with current price points of units in that place? Never once pleaded poverty, its all about ROI for me, there is no longer any "R" on the "I" which means its time to dump the "I" in the quickest most efficient manner possible. Apparantly this is too difficult for you to understand.
