People are welcome to come to the Bay Square shopping center in rememberance of Amy October 27th. It marks 20 yrs. of not knowning who kidnaped and killed her. People are putting pressure on authorities to find the responsibile parties.I'll be there with pink and lavender ribbons on my vehicle.

In 1989 Amy Mihaljevic was lured to a shopping center and abducted just a year earlier in 1988 April Marie Tinsley was abducted on her way to a friend's house to get her umbrella. Bay Village, Ohio where Amy resided is only three and a half hours away from Fort Wayne, Indiana where April resided. Amy was 10 years old and April was 8 years old. It appears Amy's killer took several souvenirs including the girl’s horse-riding boots, her denim backpack, a binder with “Buick, Best in Class” written on the front clasp, and a turquoise earring in the shape of a horse head.” We know that April was missing one shoe police kept that detail quiet for a long time.(A fetish for little girl's footwear perhaps?) Both girls were abducted a distance from home. Amy was found in a field near the side of the road. April was found in a ditch near the side of the road. Amy's killer made phone calls to several little girls attempting to entice them to meet him. April's killer left a series of taunting messages starting in 1990. He left a message saying he raped and killed April and stating he'd kill again. 14 years later he left several vile notes in Allen County neighborhoods for little girls to find. The FbI has profiled the killer in both cases as being older mid to late thirties and dark haired. In both cases the perpetrator is attracted to prepubescent little girls as profiled in April's case. Both girl's were found by a jogger. Both girls had a brother. Both girls attended a choir. Both girls were blond. Cult was suspected in both cases and rumored to be ruled out. April's killer bragged and took full credit for his crime and in Amy's case suspects were known to have bragged taking responsibility for killing Amy. There are many similarities in both cases. It's also believed in both cases the actual crime scene may have been an abandoned house. There are many similarities in both cases. The timelines fit.The big question is are the two cases related?
