I think all communities who have trains going through them should lobby for this.
I lived in Huron, OH (Erie County) just down the road from Vermilion. I had a train in my back yard literally. I dealt with it for 2 years and it really messed up my sleeping schedule for a few years after moving out due to the horn blasts, etc. I went to city council meetings but they turned it down.

At least one didnt derail and spill hazardous material or blow up and wipe out your neighborhood. Trains are a disaster waiting to happen. People think wow, money, but its a matter of time before an accident.
