We should think about cutting sports rather than adding them. Another 25,000 out of the budget and our taxes continue to go up.

Here's an idea. Can that crappy track team that Falls City throws out there every spring. What an embarassment.

State qualifiers every year! Do you think we can go to state in baseball when the best ball players go to school up the street?

When is the last time a legion team went to state? Never gonna happen unless you get rid of that crappy wanna be coach.

Yeah, good luck fielding a competitive baseball team without the real athletes (and the better baseball players) from Sacred Heart.

Dream on you clown. No way the elite SH athletes are giving up Irish football and basketball to transfer to public for baseball. Doug and the Irish boosters and parents wouldn't have it.

Baseball will be a joke at FCHS if the legion coach is also the high school coach. The guy has been at it, what, 5-6 years now and hasn't learned from any of his mistakes yet. Has absolutely no clue how to teach the game of baseball. He can go to all the coaches clinics/camps he wants but he'll never "get it". He's a good organizer with zero coaching ability. Feel sorry for the kids as some of them have abilities.

High School baseball was passed by the FCPS school board by a vote of 4-2 at last night's meeting. Huppert, Hollens, Harris and Gilkerson voted yes. Martin and Olberding voted no.

Good for them! It's not the baseball player's fault that the track and golf teams will be affected. If those sports were good enough, the kids would stay; and many of the kids will. I also found it interesting that a state track qualifier was reportedly in the crowd last night. Supporting the baseball proposal?

Breaking news. Under threat of lawsuit FCPS will reconsider vote during executive session at the December meeting.

The female voting against it isn't going to vote for anything that her daughter won't get any benefit from. Her only concern is personal gain. She will go off the board when her last kid graduates, how convenient.

But it's ok to vote for your nephews proposal or your future son in laws brothers proposal. This won't look good when they are explaining to the tax payers why the district is being used for a willful violation of Title Nine. Good luck when it costs thousands of dollars and the result is adding 3 more girls sports.

Yet, girls can go out for football and wrestling, yet boys cannot go out for girls softball or volleyball. Girls currently have more opportunities than the boys do.

I've known that coach for many years and my son plays baseball not just for but because of him. I think he has managed the program for three years now and fielded pretty competitive teams each year. Didn't the program just field a juniors and seniors district runner-up? I would have to look it up but I don't think many teams are able to do that. I am just curious what "mistakes" you think have been made. Please inform me because as a supporter and parent who attends games and follows the teams I would like to know.

Down 5 in bottom of sixth, runners on first and second with one out. He wants to bunt!

Two hour batting practices in the heat of the day before a game?

I'm glad they get to play keeps the kids out of trouble. If you don't like it then don't have your kids play. If you don't like the school go ahead and go to SH .
