Well the newhas worn off the Brezzy Hill. The servicehas gotten worse, the food quality has gone down hill. The onion rings were doughy, the fried chicken was tough and they were all out if pie. I guess I was just expecting to much. I had hope we would finally have a decent place to eat.

I don't know what Bob and Burdeen the onion ring recipe came from, but it wasn't the Praters! The old Breezy Hill onion rings were sliced thinly and the batter was light. The one I had were also doughy and had a weird seasoning on them. But it is still an improvement on Bucky's.

The first couple times we ate out there the onion rings were amazing. We called in a order and we were very disappointed to get the onion rings you are describing. People will go there for Bob and Burdeens onion rings ......

As one of the owners, I am saddened you had a bad experience with us. I know overall, we are the best restaurant in the area hands downs..not bragging, just from numerous comments from several customers, not once or twice, but on a daily basis. If something dont meet their expectations for one reason or another, we correct it as soon as possible. We are so well known for our large buffets, salad bar, homemade pies, chicken fried steaks and our famous onion rings which ARE directly from Burdenne Prater herself.
We go thru 100# weekly. Please let us know if we can be of any help and we would like to make your visits very pleasurable. We will be open for Thanksgiving for people who have no where to go, just don't want to cook for 2 people, the elderly, handicapped, or just don't feel like cooking. This is a free will offering dinner, if you can pay a few dollars, great. If not, no problem, we are just here to make sure everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and a full belly when they leave. Will be open ll-2. Hope to see you all soon.

Nothing like bragging on yourself. You are not the best in the area. Six mile and Country Cabin could give you lessons. The onion rings are twice as thick and not like Burdeen's at all. Your buffets and salad bar leave a lot to be desired and half the time they are empty. When you don't want to cook on buffet night you tell everyone you are out of that item.

It is a nice gesture for Thanksgiving but my guess is you probably will not fix enough and run out.

Agreed, Six mile is very good, I have been there on their off days and not so wonderful but I don't hate them on the internet. County cabin? Dollar for dollar the Hill is better,,,,,,, for the money. I am glad we have another wonderful place to dine out around Falls City.
Everybody has a choice. I choose Breezy Hill most of the time. You go where you feel you get the best of what you are looking for.

I know for a fact that people from surrounding areas continue to dine at Breezy Hill for many reasons. A few of those reasons is to enjoy their 'fried to perfection' moist and tender fried chicken, their amazing homemade onion rings, and their 'omg-out of this world' homemade pies! I have also been to Breezy Hill many times when they have had buffets and have never experienced an empty salad bar or buffet that 'Not Really' describes. They seem to keep everything full, even during their busiest times, and if they do run out of something they quickly replace it with another item. Sometimes it doesn't matter how hard a business tries to satisfy their customers, they will always have that ONE 'hard to please' patron that they will never succeed at making happy.'Not Really'-I think you maybe that patron!

Night I was out their they quit frying chicken at 7 for the buffet and was left with wings and backs lukewarm. Salad bar was empty, no desserts and were out of other items on menu. So more than just one not really.

Go eat at any cafe/ restaurant/ fast food places you enjoy! That is the point, go where you not only enjoy their food, but service, atmosphere, etc. I am happy to say on Sunday nights we enjoy a margarita and dinner at LaFiesta and on Monday nights we go to Frosty Queen, both have food at good prices and nice employees. I go there for the same reasons people attend our cafe. We may have probably one of the oldest buildings around with lots of problems, a super small kitchen and a floor that makes the most sober person think he has been drinking!:) I am proud to call our place not only a cafe, but a dive!!!! Hope to see some of you on thanksgiving! Have a great Thanksgiving and a wonderful Christmas season!! God bless each and every one of you.

I find this VERY hard to believe! Backs? Who in the world serves fried chicken backs? I have never seen that before in my life! I think 'Cousin Eddie' sounds more appropriate than 'Another Not Really'. Their homemade pies are desired by many and they do sell out of them AT TIMES, but they have so many varieties I can't imagine them being COMPLETELY out. Salad bar empty? Highly doubtful! I think some people just like to whine and criticize. Every time I have been there they have usually been busy and have rarely been out of items on their menu. I guess I'm just easier to please!
