"On Friday, U.S. Sen. David Vitter asked the Corps to commission an independent study to determine if the new floodwalls, gates and higher levees around greater New Orleans caused water to stack up elsewhere."

Why even WASTE THE MONEY on a study???? Anyone with 2 brain cells should be smart enough to know/figure out, if you stop water from following it's natural path, it will find some place else to go!!!

In a way it is, dumbo.

When Clinton was president,$750 million was appropriated
for repair of levees and pumping stations around New Orleans.
About $500 million of that amount was spent by the time Bush was elected. He cut off the rest of it, some $250 million, and diverted it to his Iraq war. The repairs were not completed.

The rest is history....Katrina.

MEGA BULLSHYTE!

See, that's what happens when you don't pay attention. the Federal government gave money to New Orleans for just that purpose and their famous chockolate mayor spent it on a tourism center and busses instead. Then he stood around with his thumb in his butt when Katrina hit instead of doing his job. Put the bong down and read a book once in a while. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Louisiana was given the money twice to fix the levees. The state dem leaders chose to spend the money on casinos. Put the blame where it is due.

millions were sent decades before and the demorat leaders used the money on other "projects!" (Mostly in their pockets)

Of all the lying liberals on these posts, you're one of the worst.

Yep, Clinton (ALL TAXPAYERS) paid to have a NEW road built to the casino, just to make it easier to get to... with money that was for the upgrading/upkeep of the levees!!!

That road sure helped keep the water out, as the casino blew away!!!

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Cancer

Love could catch you by surprise today. You might be strongly attracted to someone who isn't your usual type at all but who makes your knees go weak all the same, or you could get caught up in an illicit relationship that's exciting because it has to be kept a secret. If you're already involved with someone they'll need plenty of freedom and won't appreciate feeling emotionally tied down. You need to let them off the leash for a short while!
