"I would love to just spend a lot of my time venting and yelling at people," the president said, "but that's not the job I was hired to do. My job is to solve this problem."

You weren't hired, you were elected. If you were hired we the people could fire you! And your problem solving is like sticking a square peg in a round hole!

A leader of a nation you are NOT!

It's becoming so obvious what happens when Liberals elect a president who has never ran or led anything in their entire life, except furthering their own agenda and career by mastering Chicago mob style politics.

Actually if America wakes up and takes back their country in November, he can be fired shortly thereafter...

It is against to law to offer government positions in trade for spots on election ballots. So far this administration has admitted to this twice. File this away for next year (hopefully).

*still cannot understand how a honest Democrat can sit there and watch Obama fix ballots causing no choice for the voter, and not raising holy heck???

I guess if the Sheep fits, wear it..

It is just as unfair to the blue collar workers that he allows the flow of illegals into this country. And further unfair to all Americans that he allow the flow of Al-Qaida into this country. Hold him 100% responsible when someone you know gets blown up by an enemy that came in over the Southern border.

30,000,000 security failures at the borders and a percentage of them are Al-Qaida.

So, Mr President, why did you wait 38 days to react to the news?
Why did the prearranged "plan of attack" not take place?
Why were oil consumming fires not started when needed?
Why were booms and tankers not immediately sent?
Why were "berms" requested by Louisiana not approved?
Why was your first response to the leak "to promise to sue BP", and not offer ANY assistance of ANY kind?
You're right... this is "brutally unfair!"

Why then, Mr President, did you wait 38 days to react to this? Why were booms and tankers not immediately sent when you heard of the leak? Why was the "emergancy plan" not begun the minute you heard of it? Why were oil consumming fires not started? Why were prearranged NOAA plans not begun? Why were "berms" requested by Louisiana NEVER even reviewed? Why is your first reaction to ANYTHING "We plan to sue." ?????

I guess He is going down to the coast to imitate King Canute in England about a thousand years ago.

He will try to talk to oil back into the hole.

These absolutely laughable statements from the far right are yet another reminder of the need for our country to be educated voters.

If you don't know enough about the laws put in place that required the President to take the steps he has, then please don't procreate...let alone vote.

Oil industry reform and regulation anyone?

Talk about too little too late...

And still the libs defend this twit.

It is the same as Katrina and all the idiots who thought George could call God right up and tell Him to send that storm back to sea.

And the local dems really piled on in order to obscure the fact that all the federal money (our money) that was sent down there for decades went into democrat pockets instead of improving the levees and other anti-flood infrastructure.

And now, God's right hand man has utterly botched up the federal response and has helped tie local hands to they can't do what needs to be done.

So now O'Bama is having to take the licks.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

That's just the worst kind of stupid.

It's current federal law that necessitates at this point that it's BP's "job" to stop the oil...although Rush and co. have been telling the masses the opposite for a month now.

No wonder we're seeing the same crap here.

Furthermore, the gov't's f'd up response to Katrina that cost hundreds of additional lives in the days following that was the Republican downfall.

No such immediate incompetence was seen from this administration.

Those are facts.

In addition, BP is much better equipped than any gov't agency to deal with this specific kind of leak...as has been reported repeatedly for weeks.

I mean come on...at some point you have to put your willful ignorance aside in order to salvage some credibility, no?

And the levees...W literally chose not to allocate the funds Clinton set aside for repairing them.

Again...ignorance isn't good for anyone...geese included.

You can spin how the gov't was required to compel BP to do damage control all you want, and bring up Bush until the cows come home and it still doesn't excuse Salazar and this administration from it's malfeasance in signing off on this lease without having done it's due diligence on the "what if's" in BP's plan. DL, you refuse to ever admit any wrongdoing by the Dems, and deflect like a pro, but your sneering, politically polarized ignorance is clear for all to see. Obama is a lightweight, and so are you.

sigh.

The continuing ignorance of the far right just staggers the imagination.

PLEASe do some homework before making a fool of yourself.

For example....the idea that the Whitehouse is guilty of "malfeasance in signing off on this lease without having done it's due diligence on the "what if's" in BP's plan" is just the worst kind of stupid.

Obama has publicly stated that the current Republican built system doesn't allow the gov't enough time to do the due diligence about which our loyal Rushian footsoldiers have been whining.
