If the leak has been fixed I would agree but if it hasn't what would happen? I can imagine the gulf coast on fire.

There's no really GOOD choice here for the environment, but I'd favor a burn if it'll keep oil off of the coastal environment of Louisiana.

This leak needs to be capped immediately; it should also serve as a warning to the Obama administration that their ill-considered plan to permit more drilling off of the coasts should be rescinded IMMEDIATELY.

Offshore drilling is an invitation to this kind of nightmare...

Maybe they should wait till the oil slick reaches New Orleans and Biloxi, THEN set it on fire!

So you condone mass murder and the destruction of property? Hmm, very interesting. Maybe Homeland Security should know about you...

how to deal with uncontrolled oil well;

drop 20 depth charges around sea base well head;

set them off simultaneously this will seal the sea based well head ;

some seepage will sill occur maybe but the oil gas pressure will be drastically reduced;

then the specialist well head engineers can carry out the process of fitting a new well head pressure assembly and draw off valve;
