It's easy, they had a plan, back in 1914, when they signed that agreement. BP [London], the Deutsche Bank, and Royal Dutch Shell.

Apparently we forgot all about it.

Hang everyone responsible for crime against humanity. Seize all assets of BP. Throw Obama and Bush, Clinton & EManuel into the sea. Prayers to the people of the south. The wicked shall burn.

Yes, but so far, they run the show.

And they have the support of Hahn and Arnie.

Well, I guess shrimp, gulf oysters and blue crabs are off the menu for a few years. What will Bubba Gump do now?

This British oil giant BP made $5.6 billion in profits in the first quarter of 2010 alone. As it was reported recently, "far from having a spotless safety record, the company has faced fines from
several federal agencies in the last decade:$21 million from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration,$50 million from the Environmental Protection Agency,$300 million from the Department of Justice--just to name a few that the company has paid."

Minerals Management Services [MMS] fines against BP have been the equivalent of a rounding error. From 1998 through 2007--when MMS issued its last fine against the company--BP paid less than $580,000 in penalties for its 12 safety
violations. Environmental groups say this simply isn’t enough. "Fines from the MMS are a tiny fraction of the financial profit these
companies have made from their dangerous and environmentally devastating oil drilling operations," said Marcie Keever of Friends of
the Earth. "When oil companies have been caught violating safety standards, they’ve been let off the hook with mere slaps on the wrist."

Some friends in that area are reporting that they are getting sick from the oil smell dizziness and rashes. Also heard on T.V.that oil smell affects the brain. I don't think parents should be thinking about taking their children on vacation there anytime soon. I am praying for all of the affected families.

This spill is the sort of thing that happens when big corporation has not real oversight or regulation due to having friends (Cheney and Bush) in high places.

Cheney got $34 million from oil companies when he made himself VP .. is that the definition of corruption, or what?

Praying alone, that will not be enough, we need to do something.

But what? "My fellow citizens of the world," said John F. Kennedy in 1961, "ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man."

And finally, as he concluded, "whether you are citizens of America or citizens of the world, ask of us the same high standards of strength and sacrifice which we ask of you. With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth God's work must truly be our own."

Back a couple of years ago, during the Louisiana govenors race, the Democratic candidate Boasso, said, " The day after I take office I'll be pumpin' mud (to protect the NO Area from hurricanes)". Those same barriers are what Pyush Jindal is calling for now. Jindal has a 600 million dollar slush fund. Spend that money on the Boasso wetlands and N.O. protection islands TODAY!!

Sure seems like Louisiana made a mistake in electing Jindal. Boasso should have been elected. We'd be protected from the oil leak this very day had we elected Boasso.

I miss Boasso. He is a real hero of Katrina. Not like "Photo OP" Jindal.

Everyone needs to forget politics. Get this thing shut off. We don't need meetings and people coming out of the woodwork to Answer questions. It is doing no good. While people stand to answer questions this thing is pumping oil into the Gulf. Talk is just that "Talk". We don't need it. We need the thing capped NOW! We don't need people saying this and that, we need "ACTION"! It is one HORRIBLE MESS! God help the people of the Gulf!

Typical liberal - he has good thoughts. He never gets anything done. There should have been booms EVERYWHERE in a MONTH. Obama should be tarred and feathered with this.

Of course, but it's a lot more fun, and much easier, to throw the blame around.

Why worry about real work and effort, if we can have fun.

"Don't worry," as they say, "be happy"!
We have leaders, they will take care of it.

They also took care of Saddam.
And of thousands of Americans.

The bankers took care of our money.
And Hahn takes care of Arizona.

And no one dares to scream bloody murder?

The rules and regs now in place were started by GWB. The WH can't change this stuff overnight.

It's His fault.

"Ultimately," said the president, "we need to move beyond the tired debates of the left and the right, between business leaders and environmentalists, between those who would claim drilling is a cure all and those who would claim it has no place," as he said. "Because this issue is just too important to allow our progress to languish while we fight the same old battles over and over again."

And while Mr. Obama has staked out middle ground on other environmental matters -- "supporting nuclear power, for example -- the sheer breadth of the offshore drilling decision took some of his supporters aback.'We’re appalled that the president is unleashing a wholesale assault on the oceans,' Jacqueline Savitz of the environmental group Oceana said on Wednesday.'Expanding offshore drilling is the wrong move if the Obama administration is serious about improving energy security, creating lasting jobs and averting climate change.'"

Now, we have a major disaster and all you righties are screaming:“Where is the government?”“Why aren’t they cleaning this up?”“Where are the regulators?” Let me give you crazies on the right a little FYI: You hate the government and claim you want them out of your life, right? So, let big business clean up their mess and quit blaming big government Obama, damn hypocrites!
