I once had gotton a chow that was known to be a bitter. The person that had him was trying to turn him into an attack dog. The dog turn on him. He was on the news about being an spouse abuser and said something about his dog attacking him because of her.
I inquired and saw where he was giving the dog away. I got it.
He turned out to be the most beautiful dog in the world. It took me 3 month's working with him. Ching lived to be 15 years old. Accepted family.
To me the Verizon man was in the wrong. An owner know his pets not a stranger.

they were ALL wrong. Ok you have a large dog,it's Florida(large collection of doghaters anyway)and a serviceman is coming to your house. Put the dog up and don't let anyone in until you do!Period,no questions asked. zeus may have seen his reflection in the guys sunglasses,I don't know. but last time a German shepard nearly attacked me I was wearing reflector sunglasses. and hell no I would have not dreamed of pressing charges even if he had bit me.
Second you are a serviceman and you go to houses. Never go in unless you put the dog up! period! the company should fire you if you do it any other way. Now Im sorry the poor prick got bitten in the balls but in my view Zeus got screwed and all the people were stupid. I think the people in Tenn. just didn't want to take care of him.

I have to agree, they were all wrong.....
the owners, SDA, the trainers, the animal psycologist and the attorney. I don't think the people in Tenn. didn't want to take care of him, they were protecting their family and other people that might have gotten hurt by this dog.
