Group admits 15 million in illegal contributions

The group, the Arizona-based Center to Protect Patient Rights, is one of the largest political nonprofits in the country, serving as a conduit for tens of millions of dollars in political spending, much of it raised by the Kochs and their political operation and spent by other nonprofits active in the 2010 and 2012 elections

Stealing Oil on Indian Reservations

In May 1989, the Senate held hearings on what the Senate special committee on investigations called "a widespread scheme to steal oil on Indian land." According to data the committee compiled, Koch took 1.95 million barrels of oil it didn’t pay for from 1986 to 1988.

The Senate referred the case to the Justice Department, but no indictment followed. In December 1999 in a civil trial, the jury found that "Koch Industries had made 24,587 false claims in buying oil, underpaying the U.S. government for royalties on Native American land from 1985 to 1989." Koch settled the case in 2001 for $25 million.

The second-largest private company in the United States, Koch Industries is also a conglomerate, whose subsidiary businesses operate in some of the world's most profitable markets. Given such a diverse portfolio, it's no surprise that the company has spent millions of dollars lobbying the federal government this past decade on a range of issues, from defense appropriations to financial regulatory reform.

You are a drooling imbecile if you believe these folks comply to the letter or the intent of the election laws. The objective is one world government by corporations. They do not need force. They simply buy everything by propagandizing to the uneducated, un-sophisticated , ignorant ninnies who think they are standing for ideology. Meanwhile, you, your children, their children, your government and governments worldwide are being robbed blind while poor idiots support more tax breaks for the rich.

Not exactly. It predicts that many people will abandon second jobs and part time jobs that that they took in order to afford insurance., Someone else will step in fill those positions , so the jobs are not lost. It should lower unemployment even further.

The republican gloom/ doom /obstruction permeates even neutral news such as this . It is like the Soviet news release about an air race held between the USA and Russia which the USA won. Soviet news reported that the Russians came in second and that the USA was second from last.

As I said, I am sooo shocked that a New Jersey politician, a democrat no less, would misappropriate the grand sum of $97,000. I have never been to NJ , and I hope I never have occasion to be located there. I am more concerned with NC where outside interests networked primarily by the Koch brothers have already pumped over $7,000,000 dollars into NC to change the outcome of our election to favor republican Thom Tillis. Tillis will not even attend republican debates or fundraisers. He doesn't have to. With the Koch network pumping over $400,000,000 into the 2012 election nationally , and now backing Tillis, he doesn't have to. So why are people outside NC pumping such huge sums of cash into NC to change the outcome of OUR elections? How many of you republican boys and girls out there believe it is to help NC?

"Obama Campaign Fined Big for Hiding Donors, Keeping Illegal Donations
The FEC levied one of its largest fines ever against Obama's campaign committee, new documents show." Barack Obama's presidential campaign has been fined $375,000 by the Federal Election Commission for violating federal disclosure laws, Politico reports.

An FEC audit of Obama for America's 2008 records found the committee failed to disclose millions of dollars in contributions and dragged its feet in refunding millions more in excess contributions.

The resulting fine, one of the largest ever handed down by the FEC, is the result of a failure to disclose or improperly disclosing thousands of contributions to Obama for America during the then-senator's 2008 presidential run, documents show." " The FEC says the Obama campaign failed to disclose the sources of 1,300 large donations, which together accounted for nearly $1.9 million. Election Commission rules state campaigns must report donations of $1,000 or more within 20 days of Election Day.

Obama for America was also fined for "untimely resolution of excessive contributions," according to the conciliation agreement, FEC says. The campaign accepted more than $1.3 million in contributions that came from donors who had already given $46,000—the maximum allowed by FEC rules. The campaign eventually refunded the excess cash but did not do so within the 60-day window allotted for resolving such cases, FEC said.

In addition to failing to report big donors and excess donations in a timely manner, the Obama campaign incorrectly dated the filings dealing with $85 million in funds, the FEC claims. This error appears to have been primarily the result of one transfer to the campaign committee from the Obama Victory Fund, a fundraising group that includes money raised by the Democratic National Committee that is earmarked for the presidential race." The fines were a result of complaints filed with the FEC by the Republican National Committee. The Obama campaign has been quick to point out that the errors constitute a small portion of the more than $750 million it raised during the 2008 election cycle.

"The 2008 campaign was a record breaking campaign with over 3 million grassroots donors," Obama for America spokeswoman Katie Hogan said in an email to U.S. News. "The very few outstanding questions have now all been resolved."

The results of the audit were released in April of 2012, but the letter detailing the fines the FEC planned to levy was not sent until December." "Imbecile"???? Fool. " comply to the letter or the intent of the election laws."

Unfortunately for both sides of the politico, its true. The truth doesn't help either dems or pubs. The success of a democracy depends on an informed voting public. Both dems and pubs have been stricken with an outbreak of political insanity which prevents them from accepting anything other than their party line of propaganda. BS does not solve problems regardless if iut is republican BS or democrat BS.

Because they understand that we no longer have a democracy of one person one vote. It has become a vote of dollars. Since the Kochs were pumping mega millions into Wi, why does it seems strange that their opposition would do the same?
