Well i'm not a Choctaw but i do agree with what your saying..thats bad when a Governor dosent respect what the voters that put him in office says and they will say yes to the Indian Casino as they did for a Mississippi lottery Witch Governor Fordice did'nt respect the people vote either

It's not our land. The Choctaw should be able to do whatever they like with it. Barbour is a Asshat Fascist if he trys to block this.

Respect the rights of the people, all peoples.

Why are we letting our "elected officials" tell us what we can and can not have? Isn't the elections of these people for the people, by the people? The Choctaw families who want to put something back into the community in which they live should be respected, more now than ever. What are we going back to, the 1800's? Hey people, wake up!!!! Are we going to be led by the nose as cattle or are we going to stand up and be "THE PEOPLE"

we need to put together some kind of a march/protest to let barbour know that jackson county citizens don't like being led around by the nose and what ever we the people vote for or against will stand and by the way give us our dam lottery that the PEOPLE of the state of mississippi voted in a few years ago when fordice was in office.. THANK YOUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!

I heard the anti choctaw radio add today. Talk about misleading and just warped. It stoops so low as to bend the truth, stateing facts, but not telling you what the choctaw are ponying up to give to the community. A week ago, I had a strong oppinion about this issue, now im gona go do something about it. This is just crap.

I just moved here a few months ago ,,so i guess i don't really have a right to voice an opition yet ,,however i'm going to anyway, we live in a county that is goverened For The People ,By The People why is this idiot( Barbour ) still in office? If you tell the Voters that elected you ,,I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK< I'T WON'T Happen ,,then I think it's time for Mr Barbour to go job hunting, If Jackson does'nt get this all that tax money is just going to go down to Biloxi and all those jobs somewhere else

I love the robotic chant...No to choctaw casinos...all hail barbour...go drink the kool aid ya sheepel.

Seems the only point people can bring up for not haveing the choctaw casino, is that the indians dont have to pay taxes like the other casinos do.

So friggin what? How would you feel if your lands were taken, divied up, then a tiny sliver was giveing back to you, years later, with the promice that it was your land to do as you wished on. And now the power structure wants to keep you poor, no casinos for indians, they dont have to pay taxes, whaaa whaa...boo hoo.

Its ok for the coast to have casinos, and for the rest of MS to get the tax windfall from that. Yes I know there are other places in MS that have river gameing, but the majority of the state is leaching off the 3 coastal countys. Theres enough to go around.

And if you havent been paying REAL attention to the details, the indians have offerned to pay.

And above all, its there land!

Stands with turd.

Well I voted against Casinos both times and will a third because I don't like them. Besides if their will to pay taxes they can just set themselves up in Biloxi/Gulfport.

All people talk about is that it would be unfair to the other coast casinos. When a Casino Operator says something is unfair that is freaking funny!!! Im all for a Choctaw Casino. I don't feel bad for any Casino that Loses a little Money because of "friendly" Competion.
