I heard Larry Riley is coming to central. Why? Are we finally getting rid of the other 2?

They are hiring for an assistant principal at the high school so that seems correct.

Why did an elementary school gym teacher get promoted to high school assistant principal?

Who got promoted? The job is posted for the high school on the states site. However hiriing a coach as an admin sounds like Lewis County.

Fire those in charge who are not doing their job. Instead hire another vice principal at the high school( with no interviewing for the best), to replace the one you moved to Central. Now there are three there. Hire good administrators and the extra money for the third could have been used to hire an extra teacher in the district.

Not sure what you are saying. There has been 3 at the high school for probably the last 15 years. There has never been 3 at central

Larry Riley has acted as more than a phys ed teacher. Don't particularly care for him, just saying that he has more credentials than what some may know.

The pe teacher referenced was underwood who was hired to be the high school vice principal. Not very informed. Riley does have experience and qualified.

Look folks, the school system is nothing more than a representation of the community it serves. There are no jobs here, no hope, pills and pot everytwhere. Where is the incentive for doing good on these tests at the end of the year? What is the incentive for getting a degree or much less a job? If you dont work you have no worries. Free food, free insurance, and you can sell pills and just go to drug court. Its not like they punish those criminals anymore. Compare CES with the LCDC and tell me where the priority of Lewis COunty is placed? I bet you that the living conditions by those same pill pushin non child support paying scum is far superior than a lot of students taking these tests. Get some jobs in here, import some working people in here, and the pride will return. Until then the jokes on the working and educated people and the test scores will show you what a food stamp and medical card gets a community.

Listed as one of the 10 worst schools in the state. Our kids deserve better. Demand change.

I thought he retired 2 years ago? Oh wait he is another one of those 100 day people who just retired so he could draw two salary and you want to know why our schools our the worst, We could take the money we pay all those double salary teachers and hire some that want to not only be there but want to teach the children. Take a guess at how many 100 day teachers we have in Good Old Buddy System Lewis County. Someone needs to call the state.

I was saying it was true about the 100 day retired teachers. Thanks for your correction though.

Imagine all the new teachers they could hire if they got rid of the 100 day people. There are new teachers waiting years for the jobs that retired teachers are hoarding.

I believe the above quote, just because you have a degree does'nt mean you can teach/lead. Don't let the children suffer, replace them. I also support denying all 100 day contracts, get some young, energetic, full of fresh ideas, teachers that want to teach.
