Why do we agree with this but not with this:

Deuteronomy 21:18-21

18 If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them:

19 Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place;

20 And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard.

21 And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.

because two dudes rubbing dix together is a putrid repulsive act worthy of killing them over, I suspect had your parents been given the chance to have you stoned to death, they probably would have jumped at the opportunity.

The BIBLE is repulsive. If you work on Sunday, we are supposed to kill you. That means tens-of-millions are really supposed to be stoned to death because they are working on Sundays.

again, that is in the fulfilled "old testament" the pharisees actually said that to Jesus who was preforming a healing on a Sunday. Jesus spoke a parable to them showing them the error of their ways and went on about his business.

So how about all the parable that Jesus uses in the NT that talk about slaves. Is slavery still ok then?

no its not okay, Jesus didn't have any slaves. he spoke many parables about being servants but I've never read of him approving of slavery. that being said im not a Bible scholar, if you would like further help regarding the bible id suggest talking to one of the many preachers in town, im sure you can get the answers you need.

Imagine Mark writing his gospel. And then someone wants a copy. Well, they didn't have copiers back then, so it had to be written by hand. And then everyone wants copies of it. How many errors were made by ALL of those people making copies? By the time it gets to the 2nd century, Mark's writings probably looked NOTHING like what he "wrote."

When Jesus says servant that is a slave. Why wouldn't he speak out against that. Why wouldn't he say oh and by the way your shouldn't own people.

how do you get that? from my understanding a servant is more like a housekeeper or even a waitress (server), they receive compensation on their labor. A slave is someone being forced to work against their will.The bible teaches us to choose Jesus,so its not against their will and we all have a reward in Heaven. I'd recommend reading the Bible for yourself instead of googling things that other people cant figure out, and as i said before there is many people who can help you understand better then I.

Not in the bible days. The word servant in the NT is the same as slave.

Even if you try to argue that the word is not the same. Slavery was widely used in the time and Jesus and he never said a word about how wrong it was.

I have read the bible.
