They go down the road a couple miles and try to set up the "MEGA SITE". Way to go REPUBLICANS, you don't get one site filled before moving to another place. I've got a car that 150 miles per gallon, maybe I can sell that to the people of Van Wert

Timeline of the Housing Crisis
Barack Obama and the Democrats did not inherit the bad economy; they caused it and made it worse They now want to bankrupt the nation with socialized medicine and socialist energy taxes This will greatly increase your income taxes, property taxes, utility bills and you will be denied medical care

These are the leading culprits who actually caused the subprime
mortgage collapse which then caused the current worldwide deep recession
1. Jimmy Carter pushed for and signed into law the
Community Reinvestment Act which forced banks to
lower their standards so that previously unqualified people could get a mortgage.
2. Bill Clinton then doubled-down on the Community Reinvestment Act and greatly lowered mortgage standards to allow a lot more unqualified borrowers to get loans.
3. Bill Clinton’s Attorney General, Janet Reno, then intimidated banks with threats of legal action if they did not give loans to unqualified borrowers who would not have the income to pay the loans back.
4. A member of the Clinton administration, Franklin Raines was then put in charge of Fannie Mae by Bill Clinton. Fannie Mae bought up a majority of the bad loans made by banks to unqualified borrowers. Raines then falsified Fannie
Mae financial reports so he could collect bonuses which totaled over $90 million for 5 years.
5. Senator Chris Dodd, head of the Senatorial Financial Committee, suppressed efforts by President George W. Bush and congressional Republicans to rein in the corruption at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. He got a very favorable loan by a bank associated with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. He got large political campaign contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
6. Barney Frank, head of the House of Representatives Banking Committee, also suppressed efforts by President George W. Bush and Congressional Republicans to investigate corruption at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
7. Barack Obama, while he was an attorney, filed lawsuits against banks on behalf of ACORN in order to force banks to give loans to people who could not afford to pay them back. Obama, while he was a U.S. Senator, also suppressed efforts by President George W. Bush and Republican Congressmen to investigate and rein in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

You do realize the largest portion of "the 47%" is comprised of the elderly/retirees, correct? Another huge chunk are military members and college students. Look it up. Only 18% of people pay no federal or payroll tax, of that 10% are elderly and 6.9% are people who earned less than $20,000 like college students. At least know who you're talking about before you try to bad mouth them like Mitt did. We see where that got him.

Did anyone watch the stock market today? The Dow was down over 300 points, Nasdaq and S&P lost big time as well. If you think this doesn't affect you, think again....companies will start laying off and not hiring. Remember the Great Recession?

LOL You bought that eh? So Military members pay no taxes? Think Elderly and retirees don't have pensions? College Students? Tell me, how many are getting Federal aid they will never pay back. Maybe if you are so interested in percentages, look what the top 10% pay in Fed taxes, then get back to us.

I would, but a Democrat doesn't have a chance in Van Wert. Maybe I can have my brain removed and switch to a Republican. I'd fit in real well then.

I guess the government website is lying. You're right. Go back to hiding under your rock, only coming out to whine and moan about the blacks and single moms.
P.S. eighty thousand people with incomes from $211,000 to $534,000 paid no income tax last year. Twenty five thousand with income from $533,001 to 2.2 million paid zero, and over 3,000 Americans who made over 2.2 million bucks paid zero. Next.

Actually Obama did inherit the housing crisis. Remember Bush giving all that money to bail out the Big Banks? No restrictions on what they did with the money. So the Big Boys GAVE THEMSELVES RAISES.
Obama bailed out Chrysler and GM but put in restrictions. One GM top exec lost his job. They have both paid back their loan. Where is the Big Banks loans?

Absolutely right. So many people forget that the banking crisis began near the end of Bush's watch. I don't blame him for it though. He was shocked at the resources it was going to take to resolve it and I believe he was damned glad to be leaving. Wall Street greed is unfathomable and so many people are eager to defend it.

LOL GM has not paid back the loans. You believed that? They basically took the company from people who owned stock, Gave control to the UAW, and the paxpayer bought the stock at an overinflated price. Uncle Sam is still on the hook for $41.7 billion to GM, at least $25 billion more than advertised.

You do realize some small businesses (home based) file individually- and can have a profit or loss? Hint, if you lost $ you pay no taxes. Think 200K lasts long in Cali or NYC? Lord, help Obama voters- they are simple little cheerleaders aren't they? You are dismissed.

he didn't put any restrictions on them besides shipping 7 out of 10 cars overseas and making mpg standards so high no one can afford them. Chrysler is 58% owned by fiat and now shipping the jeep line overseas. What a waste of money to save Obamas union buddies jobs.
