It's just like playing video slots at a casino. But I don't think your odds are as good. I have been there a couple of times, and it's okay. If you play, drinks are free (soda) that is. You put money on a card, the same size as a credit card, you go up to one of the machines, swipe your card, log in, and then can choose up to like 20 or more different slot machines. Now, if you put like $20 on you card, you have to play all that $20, and whatever you win, is yours to keep, or just keep playing till you win more, or just loose it all. I haven't gone there enough to hear if anyone has ever won a big amount, but the 3-4 times I've been there, didn't see anyone win big. The slots are set up like the casinos, you can play as little as .01 cent or up to a few dollars per spin. It's just fun entertainment if you like to play the slots, but just go in to play, and don't expect to win, and if you do, just feel lucky!

And yet, bingo is still legal. No hypocrisy there.

Ironic. Lottery is legal too. Same with the 4 new casinos in this state.

I have never been to one of those internet cafes myself, nor would I normally participate in any form of gambling. The hypocrisy I see is public sector competition with private interests, and abuse of power, creating laws to restrict private interests while public interests continue to operate unchecked.

The way through this is abandonment of 2 things, the UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) and the abandonment of the actual usage of the dollar in any non-anonymous manner. The use of the UCC effectively turns people into property, and the later is a control the that easily scares the hell out of the establishment to consider abandoning.

It would help also to see a serious decline in participation in 'legal' gambling.

It won't be long before the Ohio attorney general shuts the place down. I'm surprised they are still open.
