Leininger Auto

I recently had a vehicle issue and took it to Leininger's to get fixed. Not only did the new owner have it done in half the time he thought, it also was alot less than what he quoted me because some things didn't need replacing once he started working on it. It's hard to find a place like this that doesn't rip you off, etc. Also, it's great to see that a business in Van Wert isn't moving out of the area or closing. Thanks Mike! You've got my business and I hope others will follow!

It's great to see something positive on this website and something useful. I just went to another tire place and the guy wouldn't quit eating his lunch to help me and there was no one else in the place!(Hegemeier) I turned around and walked out, but I still need tires. Looks like I'll be calling Leininger to see if they can help me out. Thanks!

I went to Lloyd's a couple times in the last year, and they told me that I needed some major repairs. Found out I only needed minor and inexpensive repair. Lloyd's used to be run by decent Christian people, but I'd stay away from there from now on.

I've been to Hegemeir's (or however you spell it) quite a few times over the years, an no matter how busy they were, they always took the time and effort to try and squeeze me in, and their prices have always been more than reasonable. I will go there again if needed.

Same with Lloyd's. Lee is a great guy who will take time to talk to you and help you out. Whenever I test drive a vehicle, I take it to Lee to check out. I value his opinion.

The guy at Lloyd's is a crook! I took my truck in to be checked cuz it was making noise from the rear axle. He told me I need new bearings and shims in the transaxle - about $500 repair. Turns out it was just a U-joint, cost me $10 and I did it myself. You can't tell me he missed a bad u-joint with it on the rack.

Another time I took my car in for alignment - a $40 job. He told me I needed new ball joints, tie rods and steering rack and pinion cuz it was all too loose. Further checking showed ball joints are perfect, tie rods and rack and pinion still just fine. Again, it was on the lift, no excuses for misdiagnoses. He just wanted me hooked into a $700 repair.

I'm never going back there again.

I stopped going to Lloyds also he tried to rip me off. He said that I needed upper and lower ball joints ($800). I took my vehicle to Hegemiers and he said that it was alright

Lloyds has always done right by me. I took my truck there thinking I needed a major brake job. He showed me that my brakes were okay and would be okay for another 10,000 miles. He could've taken me to the cleaners but he didn't. They are not crooks!

I took a vehicle to Hegemiers for an alignment and tire rotation. When I went back to pick up the vehicle I asked why they didn't rotate the tires and was told they "forgot"..didn't forget to have it on the bill (a chalk mark on 1 tire showed they didn't do the work...lol). So they pulled it back in and did a quick rotate on the tires. Only problem is I would of liked them rotated before they did the alignment, if they even did that because it still had a pull to one side. When I went back and mentioned it I was then told I had a bad tie rod end that was probably causing it. Took it to Zurchers and got it computer aligned, seems tie rod was fine but the toe-in was off. Hegemier is a rip-off!!!
