think it got removed because the poor renter who was several months past due on his rent and various other issues that he forgot to mention were brought to light and he felt like a fool. seriously, do people expect to live somewhere for free?

A good landlord will do ref checks, back ground checks and credit checks. If they do none of these, chances are they are slum lords and really don't care who they rent it to,just as long as they get thier money is all that matters to them.

Agreed...
Also In my experience and after naively renting from a slum lord....do they have gov grants for their properties if they rent to low income people.. and how many properties do they rent and how do those other properties look, even worse if in addition to a ton of properties questionably maintain is if the majority of these properties have these gov funded low income tenant properties ...beware
Mine previous landord fit all of the above for my 6 family apartment and he owned most on out block and many more and didn't give a rat about anything but his money. I had to threaten to call the health department because they wanted to have some dude angel clean the carpet with a cheap cleaner and only water lol, after a storm that flooded my house up through my toilet with nasty crap flooded all through my house and children's rooms. I had small children that played on the floor and if I didn't know how to push them they would have been playing in sewage.
We had a blockage in a pipe and the food and water from other apartments was coming up our kitchen sink and pouring in the house and they refused to call in someone because I initially called in a blockage nit flood and it costs too much to call at night even if my kitchen and belongings were buried in water. Thankfully again I knew to threaten to sue them fir damages to my things for refusing to fix a flood and told them I had pictures. It is a headache so be careful. It was all I could afford then but I am so grateful to be gone now and with paying the same rent for a fantastic house instead of a slum lord multi family unit

DO NOT rent from Eugene White...he is a horrible person who barely pays crack heads (that have no clue what they are doing) to "fix" up places. He puts cheap fixes that does not take care of the problems. He tells you that he will deduct it from your rent, if you fix it yourself. However, if you tell him "no deal" (because you don't know how to do the work) he takes forever to do something and then treats you like trash, because you refused to fix HIS problems.......He is so shady with his properties and business.....he is the true definition of a slumlord!

Think about it. If a renter is that smart, He would buy his own house and have a monthly house payment cheaper then what he would pay a slumlord for.

nope, if a relative had not helped us with a down payment there would have been no way to secure a house mortgage, really, some of you do not have a clue what it means to be in poverty, and have everyone taking advantage of you because of it.

Wrong... you can get a CHIP grant, or first time homeowners loan. These low income people probably have at least 2 kids and get around $8000.00 earned income credit back every year from there minimum wage jobs. use a couple thousand and buy a house. Geez! it's not rocket science.

yes, but then they would have to make all their payments, you see the way they get by is by living somewhere, paying a few months rent, stop paying and stay as long as they can, usually 2-3 months. That's why they move 2-3 times a year!!
