He was just a kid. Shouldn't be thanking anyone. I'm sure you were quite the dipshit back in your day.

No, the answer is you're on a public forum making a joke about the death of a kid. Make yourself up to be an upstanding citizen. Not fooling anyone except yourself, kid... wait till it happens to someone you love.

Pretty sad that those who make rude comments about others cannot see how the rude comment actually is a "dumbass decision".

I just read the Decatur article, and saw that they attributed the accident to drugs and alcohol, on the part of the pedestrian.

I also noticed that the article mentioned the damage to the car ($1500), but expressed little concern for the "victim". So, those who put down the druggie above aren't the only ones who put down druggies. I am also among the majority who could care less about such subhumans who self destruct. Darwinism at work.

Right, fact is he was a child. We all make mistakes. Wish you could post your full name so we could not only pick you apart, you could be ashamed of any mistakes you ever made. Unless you're not human??

he was someones son! Do you have kids or want kids one day??? I pray that my kids make the right decisions in there life and do not do drugs or drink at a young age. However, I can not make their decisions for them when they get older. Regardless if my kids do drugs or something far worse they are my kids and I will love them no matter what. So your statements about a worthless kid are painful for his family members.

YOU are an incompetent idiot who obviously can't read! The article didn't attribute 'the accident to drugs and alcohol', it said "The police report also noted that alcohol and drugs may have been a factor in Heath's walking into traffic."

"MAY HAVE BEEN"...THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO HAVE EVEN PUT THAT IN WRITING...they can't ASSUME that sh!t!!!

Not only that, but wow, we have a true prophet among us speaking of Darwin! How privileged are we to be so enlightened by your wisdom on this deep, deep Van Wert forum.

I don't think they are assuming anything. If they said it may have been a factor then they have reason to think that. Either they smelled alcohol or something. Plus he was not alone. He was with his girlfriend and we don't know what she told them. Regardless of whether or not he was on drugs or drinking, he didn't deserve to die. As somebody said he was someone's son. My prayers are with the family.

What makes you think you are better than someone else? Maybe you didn't get caught?
You must live a very miserable existence you low life piece of trash.
You just did the same thing you're complaining about. What makes you better than someone else? You must live a very miserable, confused existence, you lowlife zebra.

Next time that someone says that dope doesn't kill you, remember this incident. Dope ruins lives, and kills many that use it.

Also, someone above seemed to think this was a 12 year old kid or something - he was 21 years old! Fully matured physically, aware of what he was doing, and in charge of his own life. He made some bad choices, destroyed his own life, and will result in a 67 year old lady having nightmares for the rest of her life. Along with about $1500 in auto damages.

Wait till you're 38 and can't even remember 21. It is just a child, with a whole life ahead.
