you mean when people used to drive around and around in circles...yelling stupid things to people they saw everyday at school anyways? sometimes they'd get a phone number and sometimes a black eye, depending on what they yelled or who they yelled it to? yeah that was stupid. i was tricked into going once... was my first and also my last. seriously a waste of gas. i was such a party pooper.

Cruising was fun and a great way to meet people from other schools pre-Facebook. A few fights would break out and there was always a good drag race to be had. Im not sure how kids meetup these days outside of school but hopefully it still happens. It was fun.

Did it for years. The Old Dump "Happty Humpty"
Then it went south. A few years ago some people complained about it and that ended it. It did get bad when the 1995's generation didn't care how the street looked. Trash in the parking lots and the streets. Those just getting their liciense didn't seem to care. My kids complained about others trashing places. Too bad for the next generations.
Delphos even stopped cruising back then. A few businesses complained but it wasn't because of trash. They were loosing the cruiser's business.
They had more pride in the town of Delphos than the kids did in Van Wert. SAD!

Correct.Wasn't just common here. But everywhere nationwide. From Cali, to Detroit and further east places like Philly. And down south. Just different places and areas to cruise. If you looked for trouble you got it. If you didn't you were fine. It was a way to meet people- plain and simple. It's no different than Facebook now, 90% decent people- 10% morons.

With the advent of technology, there's no need for it. You can do it all through your phone. It was easy to tell when it was over- when they started considering a Honda Civic with a coffeecan as a Hot Rod. The 90's generation of wimpy emo narcissistic freaks with mommy issues really did ruin it.

Detroit "Woodward Dream Cruise"
Thousands of cars. Been there 3 times.
Hope to go there this year.
You can't see half of the cars there. I drive a little and then park and walk a little.
SUPER TIME!
Bring up Woodward Dream Cruise on Google and look at what is ther.

YEP! I'm Old!
Even back then we had people that thought teenagers should be see, not heard. The Editor of the Times Bulletin used to put in the paper that kids should go to the old Civic Theater on Central Avenue. They shouldn't cruise the streets. That was what he did, so he thought that was what all kids should do.
The same way our city council thinks now. Do what they think is right. Not what others think!
