If given the opportunity at the polls I would vote to legalize all drugs. The Prohibition of certain drugs does not work and does far more harm to far more people than any illegal drug would ever do on its own.

It's not bad. Like the other poster before me said, prohibition does more damage than any drug could do on its own. People just give H a bad name because they allow the drug to control them rather than the other way around. It's an excellent pain reliever and the euphoria from a shot ... Lets just say that nothing else can compare.

The drug holds no interest for me. As for other people using it, I think they really should understand the politics of the drug, how it's used to enslave them, and how it perpetuates the slavery we can never seem to completely get rid of in society. Given the opportunity, I wouldn't legalize any drugs. I'd ABOLISH all laws related to drugs, which would have an even greater impact, completely destroying the earning power of all drug cartels, including the Federal government's hobby of drug trafficking from war zones. With no real profit margin to work with, it would just kill the CIA to not have a customer base to finance their acts of international terrorism.

I was on Jury during an indictment of a lot of people. Which by the way is a joke. Someone like me can't challenge anything in that forum. Anyways, there was an officer there and he said "even if you sell someone a bag of flour and say it's cocaine, you're going to get the same punishment as if it were actually cocaine, because of the dangerous environment that associates with selling drugs."
Well in my honest opinion, and this is coming from someone who's never done drugs of any sort or even smoked a cigarette, If drugs were legal you wouldn't have this "dangerous environment!" It would be much safer. Less gangs, less murdering because of money, no more drug cartels, etc. Anyone who desires to do a certain drug, will get it. it's not like the drug war is keeping it off the streets. I could go out today, in vw and probably get whatever my heart desired, but i choose not to, because it's not something i'm interested in. I'm not endorsing drugs, but if you want to do it i say go for it, because the shit you get from the doctor is just as dangerous and addicting as anything you'll find in "buck town" and in some cases it's easier to get.

Anyone dumb enough to snort something up their nose or inject something into their vein is obviously retarded. They have heard at least once in their lifetime that people have died using it so y even attempt using one time? More oxygen for me so i dont care ....obviously if their that dumb the worlds a better place without them. One of my best friends is now a junkie. I wont be at the funeral when he dies. Cold hearted? But his stupidity.

You dopeheads never cease to amaze me. Making excuses for doing harm to yourselves, makng light of what kills many, acting like everyone agrees with you that all drugs are fine. Fact is, most drugs kill, or create an environment o attitude that invites death. Those who are not killed often are scarred for life. All are somewhat impoverished by their reckless and self destructive spending for drugs, many even sell their bodies to obtain them, commit crimes to get the money, and risk long term imprisonment for the never ending chase of that next high.
Now, I could accept the legalization of marijuana, even though I think it makes people stupid, because of the low likelihood of harm brought to others. But all other drugs should remain completely illegal, and with harsh punishments for dealers AND USERS!

Even if all laws related to drugs were abolished, there would still be one law that is impartial, only profiting for one industry, coffins. The problem with keeping any drug illegal is what it does to the prison population and for the drug cartels. Marijuana legalization alone would kill 70% of the revenue of the cartels, but to be honest, I'd love nothing better than to eliminate revenue for all forms of gangs, both public and private sector.

I actually agree with ole Joe Jared up there for once.

Many people also use them responsibly as do many people with alcohol, you just don't hear about those people because they don't make the news or The tv show Intervention. The fact that they're illegal is the cause of most all of those bad things you mentioned. Keeping them illegal isn't going to change a thing. Look at Portugal, ending this war on drugs and treating it as a health problem rather than a criminal one is the way to end this madness.

People need to take responsibility for their actions. I choose to not do drugs. I know what they're capable of. I'm sure the people who use them know what they're capable of before they got started on it. I'd imagine the number of people using wouldn't fluctuate much if there was a legalization of all drugs. You'd see people coming out, sure. But people like myself would still shy away from the stuff.

Aparently VW Viewer needs a law to tell him he can't do something rather than making the decision for himself.
