Not necessarily, the unions have done a lot to help contribute to many of the current day working conditions. As the unions decline, so will the standard of working conditions, and not only those businesses that are unionized. It will affect the workforce across the board. Yeah, I have worked with my share of lazy people also.

When I had my baby back in August, I received amazing care by the L&D nurses and dr Moore. He took great care of me throughout my entire pregnancy! Never met a more caring doc! Don't know about the hospital administrators but at least the nurses and doctors they hire are good

Agreed! But right now the right has the unions as the bad guys. Eliminate unions, then employers can regress to days before unions. Unions have lost a lot of their strength, but I do hope they continue the fight.

I seriously think its management up there. I've never worked anywhere union or non union where its that bad. Its all in who runs it. I work for a non union medical facility and they treat us like gold. I would quit at vw hospital instead of being miserable.

Happy your employer recognizes the worthiness of their employees. Too bad that is lacking in the business sector. Quitting is often not an option for many.

Most people can not afford to walk out jobs are hard to find. I dont see employees saying much about organizing because that would lead to a firing because the hospital managers lack ethics in fact you can not speak to anyone other than a patient and that has to be very brief.

You took the words right out of my mouth! That's it exactly with VW Hospital, if you speak up about ANYTHING you are forced out over time. I have said it before, but it is the WORST place I have ever worked in my LIFE!!!! Upper management are all systematic bullies that could care less about anyone but themselves. I think those in housekeeping and food service have always been treated the worst, next are the nurse, IMHO. Also, I heard through the grapevine that more dismissals are coming in April or May. Brace yourselves VWCH employees!
