@rscfolchick----FYI VWCH did not terminate Dr. Hanson, he left on his own. You are correct that VW had many births a few years ago and it decreased in the last year. That does not reflect on Dr. Hanson not being there, that reflects on the state of the economy that people are choosing to not have babies right now.
I think just the opposite that they are very friendly to new physicians. That is my perception. I am not sure the mission needs to be re-evaluated but maybe how it is perceived by others.
That's not true. Dr Hanson did not leave on his own he was PUSHED out of there. Get your facts straight.

That's right, Dr Hanson was PUSHED out. He's gone because of vwch's 700K a year ceo. The entire board and the worthless ceo need replaced.

He got rid of two of the best doctor's vw was lucky to have. Remember Dr Metry and Dr Kriekenbeek?

vw is run by a network of good 'ol boys. They like things the way they are. That is why vw is frozen in the 50's. Afraid of change.

That's exactly right. And they get rid of Dr Al too. Because he stood up to them. A network of good old boys is right. That sums it up right there.

Dr. Hanson may have left on his own but I had heard it was a contract dispute. If the hospital wanted him to stay why not compromise on the contract and keep a grood Dr./Surgeon.

If Dr. Hanson would have been paid more money, the CEO would not get paid as much as he is.

It was a matter of the people at the top making their big salaries.

All you in favor of government run healthcare get use to it. Layoffs and pay deductions is all you get when the government reimbursements are way lower than private insurance. Hospitals and doctors will be dropping like flys and aren't going to work for pennies. They should all get out before the government runs out of money.

Oh, we are heading to government run healthcare? Or are you talking about HCR? There has been a history of attempts at health care reform and of the need for health care reform. There had been a history of republicans wanting the mandate that they are now against.

Is it true Mark Minick makes over $700,000 a year? I don't understand why the hospital was asking for donations for the new ER if they are paying him that much. Also I have a friend who owed less than $100 on a medical bill and they sent her papers to start a court proceeding against her to collect it. I guess he gets to enjoy the money why the rest of us live paycheck to paycheck.

Well, maybe a little less that $700K. I used to have a link. I seemed to have lost it. I did go to GuideStar.org . That was where it used to be
