Pick and Save is listed as 9th in the list of the twelve worst supermarket chains in the nation:

The only positive they got was in cleanliness.

The Pick 'n Save in Van Wert has not been owned by Roundy's for quite some time, it is a Nash Finch owned store so your link is outdated and this is misinformation.

Nash Finch = Mil Spec food = the best you can get.

Originally established in 1885 and incorporated in 1921, Nash Finch Company, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is the second largest publicly traded wholesale food distributor in the United States, in terms of revenue, serving the retail grocery industry and the military commissary and exchange systems. Annual sales are approximately $5.0 billion.

Its not suprising considering the economy and the opening of ruler foods/existince of sav a lot. People are going to shop where the prices are lower and buy store brands. Whats next? Main street market?

That was the second surprising business closure I heard of yesterday. The other one was one of my largest vendors. For the latter, I already designed a replacement, but am hoping to encourage them to actually move to Van Wert, instead of closing.
