The article in today's Times Bulletin contains the names of those arraigned from the last drug bust plus others making appearances in court on various charges, including the Klosterman's Pizza robbery.

There wasn't another drug bust reported in the newspaper.

They are far from getting it off the streets. As long as their is black market value it will always be here. It's a game the police cant win. Seize it all today and it will be back tomorrow when you wake up.

Well why don't we just join the majority of the united states and make marijuana medically legal on a state stand point, or make some history in this great but yet awful state and make marijuana legal for recreational use. I just don't know why people are so against marijuana. The other drugs yeah I can understand that but marijuana come on. Why not bust the deadbeat dads, heroin junkies, meth heads, actually do some hard work vwpd!! And if you want to knock the marijuana, go to family video and rent a movie called "the union" it will tell you everything you need to know!!
oh really

Oh you wanna try the 'gateway drug' approach? Let me tell you correlation is NOT the same as causation. Obviously people try marijuana first because it's the least harmful and used exponentially more than every other drug. It'd be kind of hard for a 14 year old to get some meth, but they could find weed just asking some of their peers.
I've been smoking since I was 15 and let me tell you I've never woken up one day and said 'hm, i think today is the day I'll smoke some meth! or shoot up'
the people that become junkies and dead beats would be junkies and dead beats regardless of whether they ever touched a grain of marijuana.

except marijuana doesn't kill brain cells.

read a scholarly article for once in your life, jesus christ people...educate yourselves...colorado and washington didn't legalize it just for funsies.

And if you have ever in your life touched a drop of alcohol and you're against marijuana, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Holy crap, use some punctuation or capital letters or something.
That was almost impossible to read.
If you want to make your point, it has to be intelligible.

What are some of the immediate effects of smoking marijuana?
Some immediate physical effects of marijuana include a faster heartbeat and pulse rate, bloodshot eyes, and a dry mouth and throat. No scientific evidence indicates that marijuana improves hearing, eyesight, and skin sensitivity. Studies of marijuana's mental effects show that the drug can impair or reduce short-term memory, alter sense of time, and reduce ability to do things which require concentration, swift reactions, and coordination, such as driving a car or operating machinery.

Are there any other adverse reactions to marijuana?
A common bad reaction to marijuana is the "acute panic anxiety reaction." People describe this reaction as an extreme fear of "losing control," which causes panic. The symptoms usually disappear in a few hours.

What about psychological dependence on marijuana?
Long-term regular users of marijuana may become psychologically dependent. They may have a hard time limiting their use, they may need more of the drug to get the same effect, and they may develop problems with their jobs and personal relationships. The drug can become the most important aspect of their lives.

What are the dangers for young people?
One major concern about marijuana is its possible effects on young people as they grow up. Research shows that the earlier people start using drugs, the more likely they are to go on to experiment with other drugs. In addition, when young people start using marijuana regularly, they often lose interest and are not motivated to do their schoolwork. The effects of marijuana can interfere with learning by impairing thinking, reading comprehension, and verbal and mathematical skills. Research shows that students do not remember what they have learned when they are "high".
