October 13, 1:47 a.m.– Kirk B. Dougal, 46, of 11091 Mendon Road, was cited for OVI as a result of a traffic stop near the intersection of Ervin Road and Fairfield Drive.

This explains a lot of what is continuing to go wrong with that paper/website! What a joke, Mr. High & Mighty having too much of a good time?! How he went from being an accountant to an editor will always blow my mind!

If VW thinks that their online paper is that great that it deserves surveys answered before continue to read, then they have another thought coming. I refuse to click anything only to still not get all of the story! You jump over to the independent and there is more coverage with more pictures and there is no annoying blockers!

Needless to say the "your two cents" section is pointless. It hasn't been updated in forever, and they want to pre-screen everything first to make sure it's up to to their standards! I understand weeding out the idiots, but do it in a timely fashion!

They have quickly fallen off the map when it comes to giving the people what they want!

Who pissed in your Cherios? I didn't realize that his ovi was any one else's business. Obviously you think it is. People like you need to take care of what is growing in your own back yard before you venture into someone else's. I don't know this Dougal character. Oh I bet you are one of those Sunday people...ya know, go to church for show and screw people over the other six days of the week. Sound familar?

What a pathetic person you are. Who made you the judge of anyone? You need to fix your own life before you point out the faults of someone else.
If you are so smart why don't you run a newspaper? What good are you? Anyone can find some fault in anybody so no one needs you to do that for them

OK, so you can rake Mr. Dougal's name through the coals publicly while concealing your own name. You must feel very proud of yourself. Congratulations! What a loser you are.

He was driving drunk. That's a crime. If he didn't want it to hit the media, then he should of not been driving drunk.
Everyone knows when you drink in this town, you don't dare drive. What a idiot.

It's public knowledge. It's not anyone's fault that he got busted except his own. From their the papers can print it, it can be added to the online news and yes people can bring it up as they wish. It's not like someone is lying about this happening. Do you say that anytime a criminal's name is printed in the paper or online? I highly doubt it. If it's embarrassing to you then perhaps you should blame him or discuss it with him, maybe you can offer your help.

It's his business and no one else's. why is it so important to any of you? He did something illegal, he was caught, he'll pay the price/serve the punishment, and he'll be embarrassed about it when it's publicized. That's how the system works. This doesn't indicate a chronic problem, it is not difficult to exceed the allowable limit, and last of all it is not a call for anyone to attack his job performance.

It is everyone's business when it is PUBLICLY announced in the paper!

This is just another good example of people putting on masks for others. He has worn the hat of accountant, but then somehow was "great" enough to become an editor?! In the meantime, being no more than a closet drunk.

As for job performance, it is horrible! Have you read the paper lately?! It is full of.....NOTHINGNESS and typos! The website is an even larger fail as I mentioned before. They need to go back to the drawing board on both, but especially the website.

surprised his name was even published in the paper because usually when the the big wigs around town get in trouble, it's always hush hush.

is that what he thinks when putting other people's names in his rag of a paper for doing the same thing?

Hello Miss "The Point" Completely.
I am wondering when exactly it was that you worked for the Times Bulletin and have become a disgruntled employee? Obviously it's been awhile as Kirk Dougal has been the PUBLISHER and not the EDITOR of the Times Bulletin for approx. a year.
Ed Gebert is the Editor and therefor responsible for content, typos, misprints, any of the likes. So, I do believe that if you have a problem with the print edition or the website, you may want to get a fact checker in your own court before proceeding to claim knowledge of things you're clueless about.

Also, in regards to clicking on a survey before reading the full story on a website - I didn't realize it was that difficult for you? Answer the question, get the rest of the story. You're always welcome to purchase a subscription if you're unhappy with the FREE content on the website - but there in lies the problem.

Everyone makes mistakes. To err is human, to forgive divine. Maybe you should practice some morality in your own life before trying to take others down to your level.
Thanks.

the site isn't free if you have to spend half your time reading stupid questions and answering them, my time is more valuable than money pal; this is why I quit reading the dumb rag. I go to the independent get the news and I'm done. No, I'm not a disgruntled employee, but the times bull is not worth my time. Oh, the fact that they were running stories about events AFTER they were over was another reason I quit wasting time on their site.

Hardly a disgruntled employee, just someone who happens to know some behind the scenes facts.

Sorry I mis-spoke on "titles", but I believe as publisher that would put him above the editor. Therefore, in the end, he is the final error.

I have no issue directing complaints onto Ed Gebert either.

My overall issue is the website and its lack of content, whoever you would like to blame for it is fine with me!

I couldn't careless about TB.com , that is why I direct my time to the indedependent where there is more info, more pics, and more value. No surveys, no garbage and 100% free!
