Are these full blooded poms, for real? I would love to ask why you are giving them away, but if they are true poms I would love to get one for my mother. Can you provide contact info please?

Yeah, I would also have the puppy checked out by your vet first if it would come down to actually seriously adopting one! Does seem curious! Free poms are basically unheard of!

Just FYI...In all seriousness...the Allen County SPCA and some of the pet rescues that work through Ft. W Petsmart is really a great way to go! You can also give them an idea of what sort of dog you're interested in and they will keep an eye out. Their adoption fee covers so much, it's such a deal! They have the dogs all checked out, have them spayed or neutered, dental work done if need be, shots, etc. I think for all you get their fees are very reasonable!

You can do "meet and greets" with absolutely NO pressure! Only need to fill out an application! The SPCA folks in Ft W are very nice to work with too!

Yup, which is good too!

But just as someone who has started from scratch adopting a stray pet...taken it to my vet and had all the tests, de-worming, shots, spay/neutering, dental work on an older pet, bordetella shot that often is not included in yearly vaccinations, etc. etc...to have all that done for you and covered in one adoption fee!!!...that's a great deal IMO!

I might try just getting a dog from a pet store. Like you mentioned, we aren't in a hurry to get one. Though getting a free Pomeranian would be a sweeter deal, if this was legit.

pet store dogs are often from puppy mills. puppy mill dogs have more health issues and were bred and born in cruel conditions. it's best to not patronize puppy mills.

I agree a lot of pet store dogs are from puppy mills. However we got our dog from a pet store who was brought in with the rest of the litter and if the store didn't take them to sell they were being taken to be put down. So just ask questions. We were able to speak with the people who brought them in.

These people post on the garage sale groups on Facebook too. It's a scam. They want you to pay them shipping up front & pay for this & that...etc.

There are a lot of scams online, I've learned a trick with websites to find out if they are "copy cats" though. Like the As Seen on TV websites (a lot are copy cats and rip you off) I simple select a huge order, then when asked to put my credit card info in I put Visa - 4111 1111 1111 1111 - ex. 04/15 - cc 478. If it goes through it's a dummy site trying to get your card information. I even did that to proactive solution once, it went through and I ended up getting 2 shipments of cream worth over $150.

I recently had someone like that on Craigslist, there was a Dodge Dakota on there I was wanting to get and dummy me I should of noticed it was a scam just by the price for the truck ($2500), anyway the guy emailed me saying he was a soldier getting ready to deploy, I told him I would come get it asap and then he was like "Well I'm over seas and the truck is with me, you will have to send the money and I will ship you the truck" I told him hell no of course but ughh it really annoys me when people do that! I was very disappointed because I wanted that truck so badly!=/

Proactive had a system glitch back in 2007 (when I used the visa 4111 number) and so did lifelock.com (using the glitch you got the service without having to pay for the membership)**
