This Saturday June 22 afternoon at about 1230 on U.S. 224 at Giffin Road the sheriff had his flashers on escorting dozens of motorcycles going east. What was that all about?

No, it was an escort for all the motorcyclists that came to the motorcycle races at the Fairgrounds, I heard it was well over 1,000 total that showed up for the races. They thought it was best to leave as a group than to tie up traffic for hours.

That's a cool thing for LEO's to do. Lima has a big flat track race next weekend and Lima will be flooded with fellow bikers. Van Wert needs to Advertise these events ALOT more. I knew about them but only searches at the fairground website listed nothing. Only way local folks would know is by the signs out by the fair grounds.

If you ride the right bike it is, a bike like mine you can race it and ride it home and not spend all week working on it and it's not jap.
