I know that Glendale is the armenian capitol of the United States. But there are plenty of armenians in Burbank. On this post, I never see the venom that is spewed out about armenians like on the glendale topix post. Are there just not as many, or are Burbank people more tolerant?

US census 2000 shows Armenian double in number in Burbank. It's America and you can live anywhere you want to. But of course,Burbank residents are afraid large group of poor Armenian imigrants who choose to settle in Burbank and bring along common and associated problems of any immigrant group such as... high density dwellings (many living in the same household), linguistic isolation, racial issues between neigbors...

My only complaints against some Armenians is that they tend to be a little too short tempered and drive too agressively. Other than that, they work hard and are tough business people. So far the ones I have met have usually tried to be good neighbors from what I have seen.

armenians are a bunch of jerks in my book. they are dirty, smoke all the time and they stare at you like you're an alien (if you're not armos). They wash their rugs constantly and are very obtrusive neighbors. i hate their culture and attitude. Gross!

I live in burbank and its only gotten worse and worse over the years because ALL armenians are idiots. Forget generalization. I don't give a crap when you say "you can't generalize a whole race", well every single one I've met in glendale and burbank are terrible selfish people, so what would make me think they'd be any different in their homeland (which we should send them back to)

Their gangs dress like old school mexican gangs and they throw up the west side sign like original gangsta rappers. Yet they have the audacity to hate on America and Americans. Sorry guys, hate all you want, but there aint no way you're going to change this place. quit acting hard, slow the fuck down when driving and for gods sake find something better to do than hanging around in parking lots.

Wow, I've notice a lot of hatred for the Armenians in the LA area period..I don't know many but the few that I have met have been nothing but wonderful, kind, helpful, and giving. I've only have dealt with the older (around 30) business oriented type in Burbank, and college age students, but I am not Armenian. Do they treat people differently? I'm a female (20), college student, model, mixed European heritage..just moved to Burbank. I haven't had the bad experience that you talk about. Not one has ever taken advantage of me but has always treated me with the utmost respect. I've know a couple of Armenian guys for about 3 years and other than being a little over protective..I really don't think they are any different than any other race that I have encountered.

Woodley Ave. Trailerpark Trashy Mexicans raid the thinn parking lot and live homeless inside those 1940s old navy trailer dumpsters across Fire Station 90 there on woodley ave. in Mission Hills, is it? I know what you (Comment above) refers to. That place is correct. You are right. That actually was a Burial side place for the trailer owners who originally owned those trailers that is why they do not want to re-sell that place. The Fire Department which is across the street from there on woodley ave. they know about the buried dead bodies riddled inside that property on woodley ave. cross street of Blythe St. but the city is in denial of what to do if no one knows that was an old cemetery graves count in the numbers of over 2,500 buried 8 feet under that dirt then what do you do? they moved the plot stones in 1954. The property is actually illegal. The city doesn't want to admit it used to be a cemetery and now is the Woodley Ave. at Blythe St. Van Nuys, Ca. 91406 location of the trailer-park built in 1955 and the Graves left under it as the trailer-park owners just took the headstones off and threw them into the trash. I am a ex-navy seal officer , I Volunteer for the V.A. on Balboa Blvd. twice per week. I am 92 years of age. kthnxbai

They don't come up and get you .... that's only in Hollywood and or in your mind if you take drugs...thinks about it....everywhere you live bodies are probably under you.....this planet and great nation has been around for quite some time. Think Cavemen, Indians, Cowboys, Iceage, Mexico...etc.

Why is it that they drive fancy cars but when they go to the doctor they have medical insurance.I was told once by a Armenian that i was stupid for working he said im a business owner and im on welfare. What America need is welfare workers to do their jobs and investigate all applicants so stuff like this wont happen, and if you are not a legal residant back to where you came from via the welfare office.

If you aren't White(Western European) and not Christian, then you won't be welcomed in a time period like this. Armenians, although many lack intelligence and self-control, are people as well. Now they are bound to racial attacks because of differences. Every group will be subject to racist attack by what I call the Neo-Conservatives/ Liberals. These people claim to be Conservatives but withhold ideas of the NSM. People, I'm sure Armenians are just the next target of Americans. Why is that Americans now feel like they can pull stereotypes out of their ass and talk bad about another. First it was illegal immigration. Then Muslims. Now Armenians.

I lived next door to two armenian families and had no problem at all. When I did have an issue with the guys hanging on the front step, I politely asked them not to and they were very respectful. I have children and I did not need fighting or violence in front of my unit ( I lived in the front). I think people need to be more tolerant because we were all immigrants at one point.

Keep in mid however that not all of us were immigrants. Some of us were already here (Native), and others were brought against our will in bondage (African American). It seems to me that the war ravaged, civil strife from Armenia and other Eastern European countries or former Soviet Republics spills over into the cultural mindset of it's citizens (anger, agression, mistrust, looking after your own). Naturally, they bring that same mindset to the U.S. It is easy for many of us whose families have been her for more than 100 years & who grew up in a Brady Bunch, Cosby Show lifestyle to ask them to get over it, but it will generations, time and healing.

Personally, I lived in Hollywood many years ago and used to drive to Burbank hoping to live here. Now I live here and I'm extremely disappointed. I didn't know much about Armenians when I moved here. Almost my whole apartment complex and neighborhood is Armenian and my biggest complaint is the cigarette smoke. Almost all of them smoke and it seeps into my apartment all day everyday and it's maddening. I'm a non-smoker and very health conscious. I think it's part of their culture to start smoking early in life, at least it seems to be that way for the men. You would think after all of the information out there about cigarette smoke being hazardous to the health of smokers and non-smokers who are forced to involuntarily inhale their nasty second-hand smoke, they wouldn't have such a high smoking rate. I go to bed breathing their cigarette smoke and wake up breathing it. I feel like I live in a toxic waste zone. I will definitely be moving as soon as I can. If I never see another Armenian as long as I live it won't phase me. My opinion of Burbank has hit rock bottom because of this experience.

Can't believe my own city that I've been calling home for the past 20+ years hates me. The funny part is I being Armenian pay more taxes and contribute in a positive way to our economy and neighborhood than most of these "Armenian Haters" would ever dream of.
Saddened to see all the hate.
Its one life and live in a way to you all leave a great legacy after your pass on. NOT HATE.

You thank God everyday that you are not illegal in US you would never imagine what these families go through in all those immigrant years... I'm not talking about criminals nor druggies, just regular mom dad brother n sister types, trust me it's a nightmare to be in worlds powerful lawful country and being illegal, Burbank, Glendale, north Hollywood, Hollywood, Van Nuys, Encino, Granada Hills Armenians are mostly same types, very kind and helpfull people! Working hard living large, they respect hardworking and respect KAYF, which means Spending Money on stuff they desire, Christian very religiously high motive people

They probably ignore you because you're a complete douchebag!! And those youngsters don't have attitudes or bullying problems, they're just more genetically fit than your kids.
