what is the point in having a sheriffs department if they dont come when you call. they say they re tired of the drama.its your job if your tired of it then quit and let someone that will do the job take over.

And Branson is no where near Carter County. IP addresses very depending on service providers. As much as you are on here, you should know that.

Who said that was a rumor? Maybe they called the sheriff as we have in the past and no one showed. Happens allot around here.

that is exactly what happened.you call they dont respond; i do live in carter county so that is the department im talking about. why dont we get some police officers that will do more than just write speeding tickets. there is more to 'protect and serve' than that.

Can you provide dates and times the police were called and no one responded? If so, you can certainly do something about it, but make sure you have your facts straight. No hearsay, no someone told me, no I heard, actual facts.

You're welcome to apply for the job yourself if you think you can do better.

Come on people, with a five man department, calls have to given priorities, and covering the county 24/7, you do the math. Vacations, days off, sick leave, and court time, A county this size should have at least a 10 man department, and that would stretch them to the limit.
We really should applaud them for the job they are doing.

When you go go the Doctor when you are sick, sometimes you have to wait your turn, don't you.

Let's just give them half a chance to do the job

A second term is really what is needed,or we will be right back next year, right where we are now.

As always,I really don't care how you VOTE,but, just VOTE.

P.S. A High Sheriff shouldn't have to take calls ,but spending all of his time, supervising, that is HIS job one

You said it. With only a 5 man dept the county needs a guy who can answer calls not to mention have the smarts to know what to do on the calls. Right now we dont have either. Soon though I hope!

PS A High Sheriff should never lie. Being spread thin is excusable but flat out lieing is not. Hes no better than the people hes NOT arresting.

Right, but this would be so much of a better world, if nobody lied and everyone always told the truth. Enough said?
