It is my business, I am an owner. Wasn't able to attend, due to health. Didn't want to bother Barb or Sharon, or Homer, or Ralph, or any of the others. Thought I could get on here and get some info. Perhaps not.

Topix isnt the place.... I am sure the other landowners would rather a phone call than to have any names ragged through the mud on this forum. A better bet would be to call one of them. I dont say any of this to be rude, sorry if it came across that way. But too many people get on here to sling mud.

Well I am not one of the idiots that do that. I have always thought Topix could be a good tool for important information. But it isn't used that way. You are correct about the mud slingers.

Deer Run won the lawsuit today. The judge has ruled in favor of Deer Run this morning. Jellystone is now back in Deer Run Property Owners Assoc. and will have to pay all back assessments plus lawyer fees when it's done. The settlement nobody wanted except 2 landowners and the campground has been thrown out as well.

WHAT?? That is the most fabulous news!! Can it be possible this will all go away now? It's a dream come true. I can't believe it, after all this time it all goes back to the way it was. Can it just stay that way now. Please, please please. Life is too short. It's a scared river. Let peace reign.

Sacred river is just the way it feels to me, except on the weekends of course. It brings peace and tranquility to my life. It has soothed me during very trying times over the years. So, I guess maybe just to me it is sacred.

It just feels sacred to me. Except for the weekends of course. It's such a beautiful river, rare in the midwest. It has brought me peace and tranquility during very scary times. And sometimes over the years I even feel swimming in it has healed me. So maybe just to me, it's sacred. But surely I can't be the only one to feel that.

Don't you just wish that the whole river was privately owned so we could have this kind of action everywhere? Rich city folks buying up all the property and building private resorts and closing down all the gravel bars? Wouldn't that be nice?

What gravel bar(S) do you speak of that those "rich city folks" might close down? Are there any gravel bar(S)accessible by vehicle that the public has use of near Van Buren, other than Deer Run what is open for people to enjoy without havng to paying to camp?

There are none. The fool doesn't know what they are talking about. The only gravel bar is the deer run gravel bar. Everything else in the gap is privately owned as has been since the NPS came in.

You can still go to Watercress and access the river or under the bridge or Big Springs there are SEVERAL places to get to the water from or real close to town the camping is just as abundant as the water just pick a place and go. I am glad to hear the news about Deer run and that Jellystone asshole trying to own everything.
