You need to go back to school and learn how to spell. Apparently you don't go to school or you would at least know how to spell some of your totally mis-spelled words.

Aaaahhhh the joys of small town politics. Your either part of the club or your nothing. God forbid someone come in here and try to make men out of the well to do mommas boys in this town. I hope the new super cleans house from top to bottom in our corrupt lil popularity socialite club they wanna call a school. Make those teachers and aides ACTUALLY work for the money they are paid! Dusty was an awesome coach and one of the few who tried to teach some discipline and instill some integrity and respect in our ball players. Hold ur head high Dusty, you are too good for this school and this town!

Again, he wasnt fired, he quit. As for the well to do mommas boys, they were sticking up for a kid the coach was picking on, just like we taught them. Kids 1, coach 0, on this one.

At the end of the day, i teach my kids how to act, lead them to be more. I dont think that a guy whos greatest ambition is to be a highschool basketball coach has a whole lot to offer my kid about how to be a man. The greatest ballplayers in this town that were one hundred percent behind the coaches still turned out to do jack squat. Some did ok, but it sure wasnt the coaches pointing them in the way to prosper. If you are expecting the school system to teach your kid how to be a man, you are not setting your family bar very high.

And being as though i am doing my job, the coach doesnt have tiffs with my kids cuz they know how to show humility and respect. Now if more parents and grandparents would call out the men and women in their children/grandchildren maybe teachers and coaches could do a better job and not have to "yell" so much:)

He was TOLD TO GUIT. SO what do you think? He did not have a choice. Just because of who the boys where. I tell ya the way this place is it sucks. I have lived here all my long life and have seen all these changes and never thought it would be like this.

As one of those that work in the VB school system I would like to say that I earn every sent I get. Unless you have taught, been an aide or substitute teacher you have no idea how hard we work or the things we have to put up with.

I worked as an aid here and I know alot of the BS that does go one here. Yes some of the teachers are there for the money not the teaching. I have seen some teacher go threw hell either from a student or a parent because the student did not get he/she's way.

I too am a ball player parent....I also think that Coach Weiscoff was given a really crappy hand here at good old VB! The guy is an awesome coach, not only to the high school boys, but to the elementary kids too. I have never saw any coach show as much passion and caring at an elementary ball game as Dusty did! He genuinely cares about these kids....and because he would not put up with some smart ass punks(well to do Kids)and their dirty mouths and hateful attitude, he was told to resign or be fired! I don't care if it is a principals kid or the presidents kid, a teacher should be shown respect, from ALL students! VB and their amall town politics are total BS. If he had been given the chance, he would have had an amazing high school team in a few years, but no, he was not given that opportunity! Where ever he goes I hope he is finally given the repect he deserves and leads his team to VICTORY. Good luck DUSTY!!!!!

Ultimately like anywhere else your job is based on your performance,so you can say you were given a crappy deal, you can be a sissy and blame it on the kids or you can blame it on the parents, you can blame it on the board of education. But every coach has to deal with the same adversity,so at the end of the day you can only blame the man in the mirror, his record speaks for itself,if you wanna keep your job as a coach just win some damn games,if you do that the so called politics won`t matter.at any other job they don`t accept excuses. So as a coach if you want jump around and holler and act like an idiot and try to make people ink your all that then just do your job win some games and be all that.

Kinda hard to when games when conceted players wont follow plays, do things their own way and outright defy instruction. Look at Kellyn Crafton she didnt win much here cuz of stuck up girls not doing their part. She went to another school and they take state champs first year!!! Thus its not what u can do its who u know in this town, or who ur related too! We won state back in 92... Why because back then kids were taught humility and respect and were made to earn their spot on the team. Funny we havent won one since but yes lets blame the coach for this towns serious messed up morals.

Really is 100 percent correct! This is absolutely ridiculous! Crappy hand or royal flush, it don't matter. If you aren't in the click and the parents around here with pull don't like you... Well, sorry, you have spent your last year as a teacher or coach in this school. And I work in a sawmill and make almost as much money as a third of the teachers in the school district... I don't think they do it for the money, which ever one of you complete morons said that. These people are truley passionate people for their jobs. Yes the children do frustrate the teachers, aids, and coachs but I suppose you hold them to a higher standard and that is un-called for. Well wrong, these people are human and you idiots who try to jump on the band wagon and try to continue to gang up on such an innocent soul who only did what he thought was right in trying to be a role model. Ultimately the back bone of our town (school board) is obviously the ridiculous ones. It is a FACT, he was told to quit or get fired. If you get fired from a school then it is about 74 times harder to get a job. This way with a resignation it could be said that it was time to move on. That is the ONE good thing this PATHETIC school district did for him that was positive. Allow him to get another job after he was shafted here. And for all the Jeff Rectors, Rick Drummonds, and other complete pricks who ruined another mans life and job... Hope your proud of yourself and sleep well tonight!

These smart ass kids will get their due....And as for Dusty, well, the young man will go forth and do well. He is an awesome young man and was an assett to this pathetic little school! But some well to do jack asses wanted to throw their weitght around and once again, they succeeded in running off yet another GOOD coach!
And Drummonds drunken punk son will ruin his own life.
Good luck Dusty!
