Since when in the hell do we feel sorry for some POS child molesting waste of humanity? Porter County Adult Probation Officer Kimberly Vucich stating that "I'd hate to see him at prison just because he has no place to stay" might consider filing a resignation. What is she thinking? He's really a 3 time offender but since he got the 1st case pled down he's technically only guilty of 2 offenses. What a load. Is it really too bad nobody wants this guy living next door? He doesn't have a job either so he's violating his parole. Kim, if you're listening I have a thought. I can help you and him with this simple solution. Allow him to move into your home as an au pair (thats a 'nanny' for some of you who needed the help). This would give him a permanent residence which would satisfy one part of his parole agreement. And with Mr. Drlich watching your child while you're out doing more probation duties it would sastisfy the rest of the parole agreement by being gainfully employed.

I am glad to see that there are people out there that see this man not as a victim but as a criminial. That is exactley what he is, I should know I was one of his victims. I will never see this man as a victim, as a matter of fact I have been waiting my whole life for someone to put him away for good! When will this happen, how many girls does he have to molest before they throw the book at him?

As a previous longtime resident of Hammond, and a subscriber of the Times for many years, I was disappointed in a recent article by Bob Kasarda,( Sex offender has no home but jail).

Mr. Kasarda paints a picture of this poor man, Edward Drlich, who is homeless and now residing in jail. Why is he homeless? He has three convictions for sexually molesting little girls. That’s THREE convictions for taking advantage of THREE different girls. As one of the parents of his 1990 conviction, let me address the rest of the story.

Edward Drlich is a man who used a niece’s love and trust to position himself to repeatedly molest her until she became scared of him and ran to her mother crying. This man preys on society’s most vulnerable members, children, with no regard to the permanent damage he inflicts on them. His self gratification is his only concern. He can’t find a place to live because other children can not be placed in harms way!!

Porter County Public Defender Mathew Soliday was quoted as saying,“ I’d hate to see him in prison just because he has no place to stay.” Here’s some valuable information, Mr. Soliday. He is back in prison because he is a Sex Offender to little girls! He has no place to stay because society is trying to protect other children. He has messed with at least three young lives not to mention their families. Maybe Mr. Soliday could rent out his basement to him. I hope he doesn’t have any girls.
What this man does is a crime against our most precious asset, our children. If you have never had to go through this with your child, you should Thank God. To read a heart touching sob story about how hard it is for him turns my stomach. Better you should use that sympathy and those feelings for his victims. They did nothing wrong except trust a man who deserved no trust.
Since he was a graduate of Hammond Baptist, and a student of Hyle’s Anderson, maybe those that failed him in the past could help him in the future. Either way, this man must be kept away from our children at all cost.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Capricorn

Mercury retrograde in your sign will cause some friction between you and other people during coming weeks. Matters that have been bubbling away in the background will come to the boil, forcing you to do something about them. Try not to overreact, nor to create a crisis out of something that's really very minor. You should also keep a strong sense of fair play and pay attention to every little detail.
