Horrible; rude, makes you wait for over an hour and then spends maybe 30 seconds with you. Doesn't ask questions, just tries to intimidate you. Avoid this dermatologist.

condescending and arrogant. She seems to overbook appointments. I waited over 2 hours and then another half hour in the next room where she would see me. Three hours for a checkup? That is my last appointment!

Dont use Applegarth Dermatolgy either. They are very very rude. Overbill insurenace, make you pay for office visit for a check up that is covered under insurance. The "office boy / putz" jerimiah is a dork and Dr. Tom should not be allowed to have a scalple in his hands. I will never let this goofball touch me again....hell i wouldnt even let him remove a pimple from my dogs ass!

I had a similar experience with Springer on the one & only appointment with her. I had several issues to discuss and the nurse told me I was limited to three issues because that was all the room she had on the intake sheet. As for Applegarth, I took my mother there 3 times for skin cancer and never even got past seeing "Dr. Tom" the glorified practitioner. Is there really a Dr. Applegarth?

However, I did find a wonderful dermatologist in Portage at Northwest Indiana Dermatology. Dr. Curillo is great. I waited barely long enough to fill out the forms and she came into the room within minutes. She removed a cyst and several moles on the first visit instead of just checking things and making me go back for another visit.

I am a long time patient of Dr. Springer's and just recently went to see her at her new facility in Chesterton, IN. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. It was easy to find and it is a very beautiful office! This Doctor has always expressed her concern for the problems I have had, and I will continue to go back with any further treatment I need. Great Doctor!

Dr. Springer seems to be very knowledgeable in her studies. She is very straight and to the point, making you feel that you are in good hands. Great Doctor and staff..

Would never go back to Dr Springer. Never waited less than and hour and a half. She comes in as quick as she can. Feel sorry for her nurses. They do not call back with lab results and do not send results as a courtesy to referring physician, which I have never heard of. Front office rude if you try to get results. They seem intimidated by Dr Springer. Everyone in waiting room is talking about how long they have to wait. Why people continue to go to her is amazing. There are other dermatologist that are caring and have a good professional practice in Valpo , Chesterton and Portage.

Extremely arrogant doctor. Her time is much more valuable than yours. Obviously, she was never trained to understand that the patient is the customer and she is the server. There are many better choices in Porter and Lake county.
