Yeah with crooks like Ballwin who admit to voting outside their jurisdiction and voting for Kevin in his Columbia Mayoral races when he doesnt even live in the state ensure he will win again. IL Politics as usual. Crooks, thieves, and cheaters. Ballwin fits right with to that crowd, he has no credibility. I hate liers like Ballwin who was caught red-handed in a blatant fabrication.

Lets get Ballwad to run for Mayor. He says he votes in Columbia elections while living in Ballwin MO so why not run for Mayor while he lives in Ballwin? What a guy. With dishonest people running the town Ctown is doomed. Thanks Bally for nothing with your rental dumps all over town. Next you will be bringing in the thieves from East St Louis to pay your rent with their govt subsidies. Typical Ballwin, He wants to eat his cake and destroy Columbia so that he can make a few bucks by turning his homes into rental dumps for low income people, therefore stressing the schools more and ensuring his "friends" on the board have something to do.

uhh no he or she didn't.

you change your name and spew over and over non factual information then when asked simple questions like "why did all the taxing bodies support another TIF if it's so bad" you go back to stupid retorts that show clearly you do not have a clue when it comes to how Columbia has handled incentives.

Your ilk will lose again and again and again.

If an elected official is not representing his constituents, vote him/her out. Its fairly easy in small communities like Columbia. The issue is teeter-tottering between keeping a certain socioeconomic element out of the community to preserve the quality of life, and expanding commerce for tax purposes. That is a very difficult balance.
My opinion is, let the city be poor to preserve what we have. That is my opinion because Im in Valmeyer. The door to Monroe County is Columbia and I want it kept shut.

going to go talk to Uncle Joe at the Shady Rest if you're expecting Hooterville.
Columbia will grow and grow and grow with homes as time moves forward, being close to St. Louis almost guarantees that happening. If you expect to offset some of those high costs via taxes you must bring in businesses as they cost the school nothing and tax the police and city at .50 on the dollar.

homes moving in is not the problem. I have a home and they tax the crap out of me. the problem is apartments and or other cheap housing that brings in breeders to live off my taxes. dump the tax houses for schools stupidity and start taxing people for schools.

building more and more homes with no businesses moving into Columbia IS a problem and you're right multi family is even worse.

so lets hear your plan to grow the business base.

Having rental homes all over Columbia is also a sure fire way of bringing in more people into the schools who don't contribute much. Fact is fact, rental homes have more people per capita in them than individually owned homes. So rental kings like Ballwin contribute to the future problems for Columbia.

Just look at what the rental market has done for Belleville where more and more homes are not individually owned but which are rentals. Thanks to rental absentee owner slumlords like Ballwin, Columbia is doomed. Thanks Loser.

there you go again, such hatred with no basis in fact, I do have rentals in some of the nicest subdivisions in town and they have very nice families who sign long term leases or they're through corporate. I don't believe any study from Ctown will show what you say to be factual, typical of you.
