I HAVE TREATED MY CHILDS HAIR 6 TIMES SINCE SUMMER. THIS is BAD. SEVERAL OTHER CHILDREN WITH the SAME ISSUE. I THINK the SCHOOLS TO SPRAY DURING SPRING BREAK and KNOCK THIS OUT.

My kid ended up with it we spent so much $ trying to get rid of it use olive oil in their hair at night put a walmart sack or a cap over it leave in over night then wash it out next morning put white disstilled vinegar in clean hair they will brush right out hope this helps cause it was the only way we could get rid of them I hate lice but when your kids go to school it will eventually happen

The kids will continue to get it their jackets and back packs hang touching in the hall. Lice can jump. The school needs to stop this outbreak is not healthy.

I don't know what we can do. As I've said before the school should spray during spring break and as the kids return from break each child be checked if they have it be sent back home until its completely gone.

Take a hammer and hunt each louse down on that kids head and them hit it with a hammer---works every time. then you have a goood louse as it is dead.

The teachers can stop telling the kids to go to lost and found to get a coat, if they don't have one. there is so many coats/sweater/shirts in the lost and found probly with lice on them that it is just spreading from kid to kid.

First of all, whoever you are that said its my babies, you deserve a beat down! My kids keep getting it from Hugo schools! They got it once before Christmas and we got rid of it. And now they have gotten it again, just noticed it a couple weeks ago. It's not that bad though, and treating it every 3-4 days with olive oil does work. But you have to do it for weeks to make sure they are all dead. Don't stop just because you don't find anymore bugs or eggs. I made that mistake before Christmas. And then had to start over after stopping for a couple weeks because I thought they were gone ....or maybe they were and they got it back from school again, idk. But we got rid of it after that. I have other kids in my home that are not in the elementary, and not a single one of them have lice, I don't have lice, and my husband doesn't have lice. I think we have just about conquered it again, but I'm not chancing it, I'm keeping up the treatment. It worked last time, so hopefully it will work again, because the medicine for it doesn't do a thing. Hope this helps somebody. And whoever the nasty b*tch is, that's blaming it on my babies, needs to go buy some olive oil for yourself and your nasty kids, instead of thinking that pointing fingers will make it all better.

My little girl keeps getting it too and are your kids useing those head sets I think that's how their spreading I am gonna send my kid with her own and I would suggest not just useing mayo or olive oil because it does not kill the eggs I use the shampoo and then I buy the cheap hair conditioner and a shower cap it works the same as mayo and olive oil but cheaper! We shampoo her hair every Wednesday for a month when she gets it!

It doesn't matter how often you shampoo their hair, lice actually prefer clean hair to dirty hair as they can hang on and attach their nits easier to clean hair. Lice transfer from coat to coat when hanging up coats, they do get on head sets, etc. Once you get them, you must not only use the lice killing shampoo and remove ALL nits from hair, but you must also wash everything in scalding hot water. If there are items that cannot be washed in scalding water, you must put them in bags and put them outside or in a garage for 3 weeks so that nits can hatch and starve to death before bringing them back inside. The whole house must be treated, not just the child with the lice. It is an ordeal!! With that being said, if it is still at school, your child can certainly get it again and again!

For lice and it will also work if you give your dogs a bath with it for fleas, wash the hair about once a week with a mixture of baby shampoo and tea tree oil. Mix the two togehter, does not take much tea tree oil, just mix a little in while stirring until it becomes a white paste. Then wash the hair like it was just regular shampoo. You can find the tea tree oil in the vitamin section at walmart. It is a little bottle for $16 I think, but it does not take that much. The first treatment probably do it every other day, but once they are gone, do it about once a week!! I hope this helps, it works wonders.
