I love my 5 year old pit bull. His name is Oz and he lives with 4 cats. It is unfair and prejudice to ban a breed of dog. Punish the Deed, not the Breed. Pit bulls arent any more aggressive than Dalmatians or some Labradors statistically. I believe that training and the dogs environment are key factors, no matter what the breed. I also firmly believe that all dogs in public should be on a leash and under control. Additionally, that dogs should be behind a gated fence in the back yard at home.
Even in my neighborhood, there are other dogs that arent leashed, when Oz and I walk - they chase after us! Oz isnt the aggressor and just wants to go on a fun walk.
I have many friends with Pits and they also love their loyal companions. Other friends have dogs and come to visit regularly with Oz.
Requiring an owner to neuter or spay their Pit bull is taking away a basic right and making decision which government should not be a part of.
I do not believe in fighting or over breeding any animals, and this breed has been unfairly profiled to be a natural born killer.
Please see the pictures below and let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks so much and have a great day!

My only concern is that your animal loses it one day, as they commonly do, and proceeds to rip somebody's arm off or tear their throat out. Other than that no worries.

It is part and parcel of human nature to focus on the negative aspect of life. This habit is a defense mechanism to protect you and help you cope with negative events, but too much focus on the negative side activates your fight-or-flight response and ends up causing excessive stress and reduces your ability to cope.* As statistics prove, PitBulls arnt the only breed that "loses it" - and people continue to prove themselfs as judemental and tend to manifest some horrible event that deems PitBulls dangerous and unworthy of redemption. No matter how many good stories about Pitbulls surface, the predujice will remain. Maybe if Pitbulls looked fluffier or more innocent, they would be better accepted.

I think you are absolutely right any body can make a dog mean and aggressive its all how the animals are treated to determine there mentality

It's not just Pit Bulls, Dalmatians, and Rottweilers...

Most likely YOUR dog is on it.
Dog politics at its finest, and just another fine example of the systematic removal of your civil rights.
