There is serious talk of having an all day event sometimes this summer with bands such as .... Ratt ,Dokken, Skid Row & Tesla. A very prominent promoter is really trying to put this together . I think it could be good to have it here instead of louisville to give Shepherdsville business some sales and generate some positive publicity for the area. Shepherd Jam!!

I don't see it , but I like the concept of it! Maybe it could work. It is something to explore. I mean Shepherdsville has businesses here that could support this. This kind of music people still like. They could do bike runs or something to help promote it . Kind of like a mini sturgies only local. Keep it in mind it might catch on!!!

It'll never happen, and even if it does the a-hole Shepherdville police and sheriffs will find a way to shut it down or screw it up. Sad to say, Shepherdsville and it's law enforcement are known for being hostile towards the music industry. Does anyone remember what happened the last time a concert was held in Shep, at the Paroquet Springs convention center? The Insane Clown Posse concert back in 2001, when good ol Shep police shut it down, maced and beat the sh!t out of all the concert goers? That is what you redneck jerks out there are known for. Why the hell would any band in their right mind come to bigoted backwoods redneck Bullitt co and waste their time by getting shut down? Or their fans being attacked by police?

Bomb threat stops Insane Clown Posse concert

Story by Jon Zahlaway

Violence erupted at Insane Clown Posse's Wednesday night (3/7) show in Shepherdsville, Ky., when more than 50 police evacuated the venue due to a bomb threat, according to a local newspaper report. The rap act has posted an account of the incident on its official website that accuses local officials of concocting the bomb threat, and accuses police of physically abusing the group's fans.

According to a report in the Louisville Courier-Journal, a bomb threat against the Paroquet Springs Conference Centre was phoned into police around 8 p.m. Police arrived at the venue, stopped the opening act's performance, turned on the venue's lights and told the crowd to leave the building.

Bill Dail, ICP's tour manager, told the paper that "no one communicated a sense of urgency to the crowd."

Shepherdsville Police Chief Ronald Morris said in the report that people started throwing bottles and cans at police while fans were being ushered out of the venue, and that the police reacted after several minutes by using pepper spray.

''They were hollering and cussing,'' Morris told the paper.''They just wouldn't leave.''

Psychopathic Records' Stefan Kudeck, a representative of ICP's record label, said the situation spun out of control when people tried to get away from the pepper spray, according to the report.

Four men were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, criminal littering and second-degree riot, the newspaper said.

City Council member James Watkins, who was in attendance at the show, told the paper that, "It got exciting, but in my opinion it was handled the best it could be handled. All of the police officers involved need to be thanked.''

ICP, however, stated its belief that the police staged the bomb threat in order to cancel the show. According to a statement posted on ICP's official website:

Police with riot gear, who somehow seemed to be deployed BEFORE the threat was phoned in, began rushing into the venue to clear out the fans. When the Juggalos [I.C.P. fans] refused to leave, the police attacked, spraying tear gas into the entire crowd, and then beating Juggalos with night sticks. One 14 year old Juggalo who was attending the show was grabbed by 5 police officers, thrown to the ground, and repeated beaten over the head until he passed out. It took another Juggalo to summon the paramedics to save the kid.

Many Juggalos were beaten without provocation, many Juggalos were arrested without commiting any crime. And in the end, the police bragged about what they had done, and even remarked to one Psychopathic employee,'If you ever come to Louisville agian, we are gonna bust some more kid's heads!'

The statement goes on to claim that most of the police acts were captured on videotape, and that copies of the tapes are being sent to Pyschopathic Records in Detroit.

Louisvill Music News - "Last time you guys came to Kentucky, s**t hit the fan... What is your side of the Shepherdsville, KY incident?"

ICP - "We were there painted up at the hotel ready to go on, and we were on our way to the show, and they called us and told us to get out of there because there was a bomb threat and the show was cancelled. They said, "Don't go back to the bus, just get out of there." People knew where the bus was and we didn't want Juggalos to come there trippin' and we never saw what happened. I heard about what happened though... when you're on the road, you basically only know about what is happening on your bus.(He also commented that he had never seen the videotapes that were allegedly sent in to the label. Violent J went into the story of the Gathering in which a girl got arrested for flashing the crowd, in which the police intervention sparked a riot.) Those cops ain't nothing but f*n geeks and idiots with badges. They're just regular human beings. God didn't appoint them any kind of power, they're just f*n idiots with a license to be beatin' and macin' people and s**t. "

Really, the state troopers were the most inappropriate. Lots of threats of violence, profanity, etc.

The locals were so-so. Still not sure why it was necessary to mace the crowd.

The opening act sucked.

I was there too, the first band came on and when they started singing the lyrics "F*** the police" all of a sudden the show was shut down. Then the azzholes started macing and beating everyone. I sure hope no bands are stupid enough to hold a concert in Bullit county. Maybe a racist redneck concert like David Allen Coe or a klan meeting might work out there, but real musicians better just stay away.
