Hillview seeking grant for skate park at community center

There's no skating this issue. Kids need outdoor exercise, and Bullitt County doesn't have a single public skateboard park.

Does the government of the city of Hillview even have a clue as to what they are doing? Seems to be that they are a big waste of money for our community and we are better off without our city government. Just drive the neighborhoods and see. There is so much better investments to be made to improve our community and projects that can be started that teach our youth responsibility and what a community is about and our city government wants to build a skate park? What are they thinking? Heck, let's add a zoo to our community also we don't have one of those either. Give these youth a can of paint and have them work on some of the homes needing assistance in our community. Why not improve our property values instead of letting homes who are struggling, in need of a little propery maintenance, drag other home values down. Why not pave the roads which need help instead of purchasing a different unneeded government center spending unfolds amount of money. We need a city government who can actually see and doesn't have ther heads stuck up each others a----. My opinion.

They are going after a grant so they can get a nice park for half the price! Also it's the lady that runs the parks department that's pushing it and doing all the leg work! As of now there hasn't been any city money spent on the project!
