I'm trying to determine why he was onthe tracks too. He may have been drunk.

Gee.. why was I rated mean? I mean logic dictates that a sensible person would not be by railroad tracks lying across them like he was. I think MissThang and I have legit quetions that no one has answered

Me too C, the news didn't explain anything, but now I have found out that he was drunk, just as we thought, BUT even if he was drunk, does it make sense that he would think a train track is a nice place to lay down, maybe he fell or something.....

He probably passed out.
If he was indeed drunk, that's more than likely why he was laying on the tracks. Why else would any normal person be laying on railroad tracks?

See now my questions have been answered. I wasn't being mean spirited, I just wanted to know. My logical mind works that way

It's a terrible thing, imagine waking up and your legs are gone....I feel bad for the guy. If he was THAT drunk, maybe someone should have made sure this man got home safe.

Hes a grown man and if he cant get himself home safely then maybe he shouldn't be out of his home. I know who this person is and my only thought is that hopefully losing his feet will make him a better person. He definately deserved it.

What do you mean "he definitely deserved it"? Why?
And was he really on drugs or drunk?
Could he have wanted to commit suicide?
It is sad that a healthy man would want to do this to himself. How will he go on now. If he was depressed then, how much more depressed will he be now? Just a very bad idea to this...
Who's got the answers here? Obviously the news has got nothing but a few dumb dumb facts. Man laying on tracks gets hurt...

The guy has Kids at home and he is more worried about being out on the town drunk and laying on railroad tracks, probably just so he can tell his friends that he did it, than he is worried about being home taking care of and spending time with his kids. now maybe with no feet he will at least stay home and spend time with his family.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Libra

Instead of retreating into your own little world, get out there and spread some love and joy to all those around you. Be sure to pay close attention to the things that make others truly happy - often it can be the simplest of things. Libra is the most sociable sign in the Zodiac and you'll be in your element at the moment. You don't need to go overboard, though, and pick up everyone else's tab!
