As usual, we waste money on teaching retards to read; heavy taxation for constant wars; heavy taxation for our International Marxist Rulers; heavy taxation for our Marxist public education and colleges; heavy taxation for corp welfare-'health' care; heavy taxation for smoke police; heavy taxation for speed and red light cameras, etc., etc., up Orwell's and Huxley's line of philosophy,

BUT,

try to find money to fix a life threatening dam.

Nope, sorry.

Those people should be SOL. They've only flooded 5 times in the last 5 years. You don't see a normal kid stick something in an electrical outlet...more than once.

Just like idiots that like in hurricane zones along the gulf coast. The simple solution is NO insurance, not private and certainly not federal. They'll stop building in flood plains real fast when they realize they nobody will bail them out next time.

you folks must be big city folks. not farmer folks.
it is a FARMING community. you know, those folks that help GROW your food.
if you want to blame any one. blame the govt for PUTTING the dam there.
besides, here is a bit of info on the town. you folks are acting like the dam was there first.
Kathryn is a city in Barnes County, North Dakota in the United States. The population was 63 at the 2000 census. Kathryn was founded in 1900.
meaning the town has been there for at least 111 YEARS. not months.

for those who stuck the clueless icon on my post.
try to find the place on GoogleEarth if you can.
then once you find it. take a look at the land about it.
as I said. it is a FARMING TOWN.
if anyone should leave. it should be those folks in Shakopee. they live in a flood zone. one year, the flood got at least 12 feet above the roads from a marker that is posted along one of the roads in that area.
it is not a farming community. what purpose does it serve? nothing that I can see.
