Vallejo resident Morrison posts scathing criticism of Vallejo Police Chief Robert Nichelini at Vallejo Is Burning web site.
"Some of the best police in California work in Vallejo. They deserve better conditions than what you are providing.
Those women who were robbed in broad daylight in a beauty salon need to visit your office and tell you to put a muzzle on your mouth. Your "service" to Vallejo has become vindictive self-service to your retirement fund."
Will Morrison submit the comments in a letter to the editor to the Vallejo Times-Herald? Time will tell.

Coleen, were you around when the city was telling the Chief to cut staff? And he told them when you cut staff and patrol depth, the criminals will rush to Vallejo to "the weak spot", remember those words Coleen? The city told him to cut anyway, you all cried "scare tactics!", but here they are, hoards of criminals, robbing, burglarizing, and dealing drugs as they please. Maybe, Coleen, you should march to the podium on Tuesday night to repeat your contempt for the Police Chief, ask council to gag him, see where it goes.
OK?

Despite what you think crime has not exploded. Vallejo has always had more than its share of crime. In fact articles by Dr Schussel show it much lower now than in the past.

The Chief needs to go because he is too cozy with his boys and put them ahead of the publics .He has gutted civilians who can do the same job in many cases cheaper and does not appear enthusiastic about community police programs. I do not think he is corrupt but he needs to go and be replaced with someone more progressive.

Coleen, you're just another VIB cop hating hag. You should be glad the Chief has such a good relationship with his personnel becausen it's the only thing keeoing their morale intact. If it wasn't for that they would have been out of here long ago due to you and your VIB cop hating friends.

These are the people that were cut when the city told him to cut.

Here is one of your VIB friends telling quite a different tale, you didn't show up to refute these words now did you.

"I would like to invite Rep. Miller to come live among us for a few months and experience first-hand the DANGEROUS results of Davis' inept leadership. I would like him to see for himself why so many of us are FEARFUL of leaving our homes unattended, or AFRAID to walk and drive on Vallejo's streets, or why a city that had less than 10 neighborhood watch groups before Davis assumed office now has 233."

"Dangerous, fearful, and afraid", sounds like quite a contradiction to dr. Schussel screaming CRIME IS DOWN! More like the criminals are down with crime whenever and wherever they like now. Changing the Mayor or Police Chief won't change the core problem, too many criminals from too many criminal incubators, add to that they friends popping in from Richmond, Pittsburg, it's like a Farmer's Market to them, you know what I am saying? It all sounds so simple to you folks, pay them less, we'll get more, and the criminals will...what? Go somewhere else? Crazy.

The Police have had a campign of fear going for some time .From the billboard on Sonoma to the articles in their newsletter, they want the Public to become scared and give them even higher wages.Perception is everything. Thats why they hate hate Dr Schussels articles. He has shown that their statements don't align with their own data.

I would not be surprised if it can't be shown that their 2 to a patrol car etc is a type of blue flu to make things even worse than they should be.Thank god for the neigborhood watches.

If you want to do something positive ask the cops to stop making statements that look like invitations to criminals.

No criminal needs an invitation to come here and ply their nefarious skills. People keep saying "Vallejo has always had a crime problem". Will you have a chart showing crime rates before and after neighborhood watches? I think this neighborhood watch business is a pack of baloney. People have always watched out for their neighborhoods before this grouping baloney. We do not have a FBP sanctioned "watch group" on our block, we call the police whenever we see something suspicious, we tell the neighbors when we will be gone for the weekend or whatever. These watch groups have not put a dent in prostitution for instance, it is thriving strong as ever. These watch groups have not changed the character of denizens in City Park, smoking crack and weed as they please. These watch groups have not abated the brazen robberies happening in all quarters now.
"I would not be surprised if it can be shown that their 2 to a patrol car etc is a type of blue flu to make things even worse than they should be." Now this is rich. Worse then they should be? Now how would you "show" this? With another one of your BS reports?

The criminals have been rushing Vallejo even with a fully, highly compensated staff. The only thing this chief has accomplished is making Vallejo look like the baby sister of his beloved Oakland. Too bad they don't want him or his off spring there.

He needs to go.

considering the vib site is a safe haven to lash out at the police and police management, the post by ms. morrison is nothing remarkable. i am grateful for all our police, top to bottom. now is certainly not the time to change the police chief out in the midst of all this criminal chaos. we were not surprised to read about the robbers at the ladies salon, they came into the bank a while ago too. i wonder if it is the same people, maybe from up in the housing top of springs road?

Sheriff Tanner was the one to send him away, and he didn't.

You should apply to be the cops PR person. You keep spouting the same BS.
Neighborhood watches do work. They can't stop some things but clearly their efforts have helped get prostitution out of some of the neighborhoods etc.

Maybe you should ask the cops to put the facts in their publications. Or does that defeat the goal of trying to scare people.

Seems to me this boils down to a burned out public servant (perhaps jusifiably) saying the glass is half empty.

As a taxpayer I expect hime to be looking at a half full glass and I expect him to be looking for ways to top it off. Ditto to that largely silent group we know and love as city Council.

Yeah, they drove them to another neighborhood. What do you care anyway, are they bothering you "second class citizens" out there in Hidden Valley? The police do put facts in their publications, you just can't accept them.
That is all.
