So you do not have an example of a city that has a better system. In case you are unaware, what you believe to be "Nothing came of it.......all too typical" is the national norm.

Really, what sort of improvement would there be if an officer arrives to take the report? Better chance for recovery? Faster submission? What?

Call Bob about addressing your noise problem.....otherwise STFU about it.

The laughable reality is that the PD never showed up for small burglaries, noise, and party nuisences when they were fully staffed at over 150 Officers..
Several disturbances at Vallejo motels ended in arrests on Christmas Eve and Day, police said.

On Monday around 9 a.m., Vallejo police responded to the Vallejo Inn, on Maritime Academy Drive for a call of a man trespassing and causing a disturbance.

Motel management said Jonathan Calvin Wright, 24, would not leave the motel when asked. Wright, identified as a transient, was allegedly physically combative and had to be restrained by police, Vallejo police Lt. Sid DeJesus said.

He was identified as a parolee at large and arrested on suspicion of trespassing, obstructing a public officer and impersonation.

Hmmmmm one of Pearsall's "Giant step forward" parolees? Seems to have bagged all three of your complaints in one call: small burglaries, noise, and party nuisences Well at least 2 out of three ain't bad

Oh, I'm fine :). Justing posting links to PD responses of calls that you say they do not make. You are just plain wrong. Even though it is not a link to a VIB article, it is a valid link.

Shall we repost the links of the six police homicides, and their loss in court that cost the City 4 million dollars for illegal searches and excessive force? Or better yet remember when they lost the five suspects of the bank robbery and the police showed up surrounded a home off of Springs Road, shot the dog, started a fire destroyong the home and yet they arrested no suspects?

Sure, post them. It proves PD responds to calls. Too bad you are not there to manage the scene for the outcome you prefer.

If it was an easy job ..... you could do it. But ..... you cannot. It is a hard job and there are no instructions for each incident. Unlike your mistake free, undynamic, uncomplicated, uneventful day to day existence you don't deal with people, as PD does, that refuse to cooperate or comply with rules or ( like you?) respect authority. You will probably never understand. Stay safe. Keep picking away at someone elses performance from underneath the blanket of security provided by PS. Peace dude. Stay inside your box, you would perish outside of it.

the new chief indicated crime was up for 2011 into 2012. is he lying? maybe doctor doghouse can provide the charts on this worsening trend? it's clear crime will skyrocket in 2013 and beyond unless more police presence is established on the streets. you can't attract police with market-rate pay and comps, you think you will with haircut contracts?

I guess I wasn't clear? Your life is not the 30,000+ calls per year PS responds to. The hard parts of your life is going to the Olive Garden without reservations or the Empress. Your life is uneventful. This city is friggin' nuts with activity as far as 911 calls go. Go to the 911 calls, manage the scene and then you will know what "eventful" really is. It is not coffee at Moschettis. Well? Maybe for you it is?

So what? The big issue coming for your new leaders is what to do about more police leaving and none to replace them. Forget about pay, no one is applying to work here. Can you understand that?
