This city is awesome. Two perps practing for the re-make of the movie "Heat", firebugs, gun tooters and vagrants highlight the crime log. That doesn't count the 30-40 calls a shift that these Officers go to everyday. This city is ready to explode with out of control violence.

The PD response Is getting seriously questionavle.EXAMPLE: Last week on our street myself and several neighbors called 911 regarding a domestic between a man and woman occuring in the street and putting their children in danger as they fought. PD was a NO SHOW, not a single patrol car responded to rhe area EVER. They simply did not respond.
Yesterday, in the same location, a fender bender occured between a garbage truck and another vehicle. Within just a couple of minutes, a patrol car and a motor officer responded to take a report. TWO officers for a very minor incident.
The priorities seem to be way off mark.

I like how the TH combined all this crap into one article. Makes things look less bad and takes up less space. Also makes it easier for us to find all the crap that happened.

This is silly, the PD has to prioritize service calls, why didn't the neighbor step up and intercede, all this big mouthing, but in the end everyone dials 911.

The police department does not respond to non injury accidents. They did, however, respond to this one. The reason why? Tony Pearsall was the driver. His daughter, a police department employee, ordered officers to respond. Two of the six officers on duty had to respond to Tony's fender bender. Tony was rude and demanding to the officers as well.

That's the real deal.

Now this is a serious allegation, any proof that it was Pearsall? If so, it stinks to high hades that his dispatcher daughter "may" have had a role in sending two officers to a fender bender, unheard of actually, let's get to the bottom of this one!

Maybe he was about to get his ass kicked by the other driver and was calling for help? I hope there is a follow up posting, was someone drunk or under the influence of some chemical substance?

You bring up a good point. My first reaction would be to intervene to protect the woman. However this is California. We don't have the right to protect our neighbors or their property. If someone decided to intervene and the abuser pulled a gun or a knife what would your options be? If you were armed as I would have been and shot him in self defence YOU would go to jail. Californians need to insist on the Castle Doctrine. If you or your property are threatened deadly force can be used. If you witness a violent crime being committed you have the right and responsibility for armed intervention. I'm wondering if a city ( Vallejo ) could pass a Castle Doctrine Ordinance.

I'm with you ...if kids are involved I WILL and DO intervene in my neighborhood .Might not be the safest thing to do but it IS the moral thing to do !Mom raised Me with integrity and I'll be damned if I dont put it to good use .

That's a mighty serious allegation to levy against Pearsall's daughter. Got any proof? I don't like him either but come on. This is weird too--usually people either hate Pearsall and his ilk--including his lovely wife Ms. Gomes--OR the PD. But smearing both at the same time? Interesting.

So there was a non-injury accident in which VPD resources were dispatched?, how did they get there, for what reason, to take a report?

I heard the accident and went to see what the noise was. It was a city garbage truck. Had two supervisors come out and took him off the truck and put another employee in. Still, people speed down Santa Clara St all the time and continually run the stop signs.
