Former one-term Vallejo City council member Tony Pearsall, husband of Vallejo Vice-Mayor Stephanie Gomes, makes another appearance in Judge Raymond Wieser's Vallejo courtroom today. Pearsall was arrested in Vallejo last summer and charged with misdemeanor Driving Under the Influence.
Published accounts indicated Pearsall struck a parked car in a local supermarket's lot, drove off, and subsequently ran into a police cruiser as he was driving on the wrong side of the street close to his home.
Today's proceedings begin at 9am in courtroom 106.

this blockhead has already spent more in attorney costs than the maximum fine of $500.

so he will ask for a jury trial? more taxpayer funds to try and beat the charges? how he can beat the charge with two collisions a matter of record? i do not think a jury will go easy on an ex-cop that should have known better.

How would you know? Maybe his attorney took on the case probono. Why do you care how much he spends on his defense anyway, it's his money not yours. You're nothing but a Kurshan parrot anyway. Let me ask you, have you ever had a original thought of you're own?

Thats your problem, you don't think. A good attorney will paint a picture of this poor man who has to take pain killers to survive the pain in his back/neck every day, who had a glass of wine at dinner and did'nt know it would effect him so bad. He was fine when he left home and it hit him at the store. He never had a reaction to the meds like this before. As a retired leo he knows the dangers of driving under the infulence but due to a drug induced lack of judgement he attempted to drive the couple of blocks home. No one was injured and the minor damage to the cars involved has already been taken care of by insurance. All it takes is ONE jurer to vote to cut him some slack because of his service to the community. Not everyone has a personal venneda against Tony like you and Sammy. I'm still betting he skates and Sammy explodes and gets tossed in jail for contempt of court.

If it doe's go to a hung jury, I don't believe the DA would continue the case either. Spending all the money to re-try a misdemeanor would get him laughed out of office.

If he is taking all these powerful pain relievers, why is he mixing alcohol with them? It warns right on the label that alcohol may intensify the effect, shouldn't be driving or operating machinery. Good luck on finding ONE juror that will feel sorry for this community icon. Bwahahahahahahaaaaaaaa!

now who would know this other than pearsall or one of his close friends, and there aren't many? so he has had wine and rx meds before, or was the addition of alcohol that time the first? then it hit him in the store and made him stupid, so he thought he could drive home? lol, good luck on finding a juror willing to excuse this irresponsible behavior, i don't give a damn how much alleged "community good" this self-serving corksoaker has done. you know what they say about "attaboys" and "aww, schidts", right?
