I would appreciate tips on Lowndes County & Valdosta realtos and real estate agents. One can never be too careful and I know Valdosta and Lowndes County have both good and bad realtors and real estate agents.

Who is recommended and why? Who is not recommended and why? Who is ethical, only out for the dollar, honest, backstabbing, intellectually honest or dishonest? I want someone who I can rely on....

I see signs around town from various realtors, so what do the locals soy? Are these just hard-working people or are they predators?

Who is on the decline and who is on the upswing? Educate me because I want to be an informed consumer!

Please rate local real estate agents such as the following:

Barbara Barker... Yes... Send her business!

Allan Dear.... No Way; No How! Avoid....

Mike Hill.... Hell No! Avoid....

Et cetera....

Allan Dear, avoid! Mike Hill, avoid....

I could not trust either of these individuals.... There are many realtos in Lowndes County... Choose someone else!

The reality is NONE of them have the client's best interest at heart. Just ask one of them to work with you by accepting a reduced commission and see what they say! They are all in it for the money while they talk $hit about what they will do for you. Real estate deals can be accomplished WITHOUT a realtor if you are not too lazy to do a little legwork yourself. I've done it and anyone else can, too. Ten or twelve thousand dollars saved can go a long way in making a real estate transaction more satisfying. But then most people want someone else to do everything for them.

Dear Internal Affairs,
I have to recommend Vicki Ordway. She's with ReMax, and she's one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met. Before we even started driving around, she spent about 30 mins just talking with me, like a human being (not a "client") and asked me what I REALLY wanted to find. She didn't waste my time with things I wasn't interested in or couldn't afford. I respected that. A LOT.
Then, we started making appointments and actually looking at houses. She was very diligent and even pointed out several things I had missed about a few houses, things I would've only found out about during a paid home inspection. In the end, she helped me find a house that I loved in Loch Winn...even though it was a mid-range priced house and her comission was a lot smaller than it would've been on the high-end of what I could've afforded. Since then, she's also helped me sell my old house and she even sent me a Christmas card this last holiday season.
I consider her not just a professional, but also a friend. I hope to God she lives for about another 50 years, because I don't want to waste any time with anyone else when I get ready for my next house.

Folks, truth is Realtors, Doctors, and Lawyers in Valdosta are bad. Of all I think the Doctors here are the worst I've ever seen. I-75 goes through Valdosta for a reason. Don't stop just keep on going North or South.

... all I know is to stay the hell away from Mike Hill, and I type that with some disaffection, just others seem to feel the same way about realtors in this town.

Stay away from Allan Dear too, unless you have him in a pair of grip pliers because he is like an eel, squirming, and shooting all that slippery juice to keep you from handling him.

Those two, well, we call those two varmints out west!

Vicki Ordway :-) is a total professional and was a real sweetheart. Very kind, very polite and very knowledgeable. She put me on a house in Loch Winn that I absolutely loved, even though I could've afforded a more expensive place (therefore, she knowingly took a lower commission than she could've gotten but guess what?-- she actually wanted me to be happy with my purchase!). I trust Vicki - and being able to trust someone when you're buying a house is GOLDEN.
